Hi girls, will try to keep it short……..
After only 3 hours sleep decided get up at 3.45 this morning as i just couldn’t sleep I was soooo nervous!
I set of with my freind to highfield in Rochdale at 6.45 got ther for 7.20, had to fill out a few forms them was taken to my own room, room was nice with own tv and en suite.
Nurse came in about 8 took my Obs and filled out some more paperwork and made me put some sexy stockings on ; ) she said I’d be going down just after 10 and that MR T would be in soon to draw on me. Soon after the anaestatis (can’t spell it ) came in and asked a few questions made sure I wasn’t allergic to anything and that was that, was there about 3-4 mins! Waited for another hour and half ( felt like a life time ) by this time i was pacing the room and really starting to panick! Asked my friend if we should do a run for it haha! Mr Traynor came in around 9.30 he asked what size I was going with, told him I was thinking 385s but dont want them to big so might just have 365s? As you know MR T is a man of very few words, he just shook his head and said NO 385’s will be perfect and to stop worrying!! He drew on me then told me he would see me soon!!
After seeing Mr Traynor I felt soo much more relaxed he is a lovely man and made me feel at ease, knew i was in good hands.
Around 10.30 nurse came for me and walked me to the theatre, there was another man there who wired me up and then the aneastatis came in, asked how I was and said I’d feel a short scratch, honestly that’s all it was for a split second!! He then said he was sending me to sleep and I’d feel a warm feeling up my arm and a funny taste in my mouth and then I’d wake up!!! Next thing I knew i was waking up, very weird how you have no recollection of what’s happened its like asleep , then 1 second later awake! I was soooo nervous but honestly can’t wait to do it again haha such a nice warm feeling drifting off!
When I woke I was Freeeezing I was shakin from head to toe so they put a hot dryer thing under my covers to warm me that was soooo nice and started to drift off again so they we’re talking to me to keep me awake! The pain kicked in a bit then jutst were my incisions are it was like a constant burning and stinging, they give me tramadol through my Canular and then I was fine! Got Back to my room at 12, had dinner which was lovely, jacket potato cheese and beans. Tried to sit up in my own when dinner came and really felt it pulling my stitches and a little blood seeped through onto plaster, nurse checked it though and said it was fine. Keep feeling like my stitches are knicking me inside it’s a bit uncomfortable but not painful!
Got home for 3 I feel fine no paint had to codeine at 4 gonna try keep my painkillers topped up and not let them wear of for first few days. And finally the end result after agonising over size for weeks ………………………….. I love love love them! They feel a perfect size , very high and swollen but I feel amazing and was so scared showing my BF because he really didn’t want me to have them done and hasn’t had nothing to do with it! Showed him and he said there amazing!! He keeps asking to see them!
Sorry it’s a long one and I’ve babbled on! All pre op girls who are nervous there’s no point me saying don’t be because we all are it’s only natural, but it’s nowhere as bad as what you’ll be imagining and just enjoy your day and if your struggling on size then ask your surgeon what he suggests they know best!!!
