    Hi Girls!

Thought I would share my story with you all as so many of your stories helped me :-)

So… Friday morning at 10am I was admitted to Highgate. Be careful – parking is a nightmare! My boyfriend had to go and park half a mile away so he wasn’t in the resident permit bays as there were no spaces in the car park! Within 15 minutes of sitting in my room (which was clean and had everything you need), Mr Singh came knocking on the door. He went through everything again and drew his incision lines, wrote the size of my implant on me and said I would be going down around 11:45. The nurse was next about an hour later and took all my measurements, went through my pre-med history and fitted me up with my sexy socks!! The anaesthetist was last to visit me around 12pm so we were running late but not hugely.

The nurse came and collected me at about 12:30 as I was really getting into Friends on the TV. At this point it dawned on me that this was it!!! She walked me down to theatre as everything was becoming more real lol… I was laying on the bed having a good old chinwag with the nurse and anaesthetist when my head suddenly went all tingly and I said I felt like I was drunk. That was the last thing I remember!

I woke up in the recovery room with a lovely nurse telling me I had fantastic boobs! It took me a few seconds to understand what she was going on about then she carefully lifted my gown off my chest so I could see – I was so drugged up and out of it I can remember thinking just let me sleeeeeep!! After about fifteen minutes I was wheeled back up to my room where my lovely bf was waiting for me, it was so relaxing hearing him asking if I was alright etc!

So after a few hours of chilling, hundreds of trips to the mirror to remind myself that I actually had done it, lots of blood pressure tests and my tea and toast, I was given some antibiotics and painkillers and told I was allowed home :D

My strapping is very tight underneath, over and down the middle. Yesterday was the hardest day for me. I ached all over my boobs and it was so hard to get out of bed and off the sofa and generally felt groggy but this morning I woke up so much happier and ventured out for a walk this morning in the snow to get some breakfast. It’s still uncomfortable and very itchy underneath my boobs but I’ve got no chance of scratching! My throat is still quite sore from the tube and I haven’t really got much of an appetite at the moment but when I see my new boobies it makes me very happy and it was definitely worth it!

I had 460cc overs – was a 34B, 5ft 7, size 10… will be measured on Tuesday/Wednesday so I’ll keep you all up to date.

Looking forward to having my strapping off on Tuesday now!! If anyone wants any advice, let me know. Happy to answer any questions :-) xxxxxxx

I was booked in on the same day as you. Arrived at 1100 hrs, and parking was a total nightmare – however parking is allowed out on the street after 1200 hrs. Slight delay for me, I ended up going into theatre at 1530 hrs. After Op nurse came in had to beg her for some food as I’d not eaten from night before. thereafter I beleive I had been forgotton about,no one came in to check on me, about 2100 hrs i sent my daughter out to find out what was happening, nurse followed and apologised. I really do believe they had forgotton about me, I was a day case and prob would have been there all night if i’d not given them a nudge. Besides all that am very happy with my new boobs, not painful just uncomfortable.

Thanks girls :) nearly 4 days post op now and feel great! Today has been so much easier than the rest, the hardest part is getting out of bed in the morning but once I’m up I’m ok – the antibiotics and painkillers are still working a treat and I’m loving my afternoon naps and 11 hour sleeps at night!!

In answer to your questions, it’s absolutely freezing outside and my boobs didn’t feel any different when I was out there. It’s really weird coz they just feel like a part of me now, I forget for a second I’ve just had them done!

Not good to hear you were forgotten about max5445… If I’d have known I would have come and kept you company :-) I haven’t had a nurse call me or anything yet which I’m really disappointed with, have you?

Claire85, sorry for not replying in time! I hope everything went well for you!!!!!xxxxxxxxxxx

Hi xxhanmxx, nope no nurse has contacted me yet, though it does state in the post op paperwork that a nurse will call you a day after surgery! Seeing the Nurse tomorrow, can’t wait for this tape to come off, very itchy now!
