my story, 9/8/12 mr singh 410overs, highgate

thought i would write my story as i knew how much others had helped me and just hope i can do the same

i live in west midlands but my op was in london highgate so stayed down at the queens hotel on the thursday evening, which was a 10minute drive from the hospital. nice hotel aswell.

my admission time was 8am so decided i would wake up super early and chill out and have a bath, watch tv and so on. i hate mornings so it worked perfect as i was tired and grumpy and didnt have time to stress about what was coming next lol

arrived at highgate for roughly just after half 7 and was sat next to one of my booby buddies (hey clara lol) reception staff were lovely and polite, fill in a few forms….. sign the dotted line and midway there .

just after 8 i was taken to my room with my 2 friends and told a nurse would be in soon and within seconds of nosing around and turning the tv on, in she came, cannot remember her name but i think she was polish, very strict but lovely lady, had my blood pressure taken, few yes no questions and a couple of autographs. then told mr singh would be in shortly. right on que he arrived!! have massive love for that man lol!! one thing i loved is he asked my 2 companions to leave while he drew on me….. perfect as im there for one reason and didnt paticually want to broadcast the small ones! signed a few more bits of paper and that was that. mr singh checked if i had any more questions queries and ready and excited which by this point i was ready to go. told i was 3rd in and he would see me in a bit. anethatist came in and basically had papers to sign and questions etc again she was lovely lady.

told my friends to go shopping now as pointless waiting around, nurse brought in the sexy pants stockings and gown, lord i looked special!! then…. 9.40 it was my time!!

being put to sleep is easiest thing in the world girls! just relax and wiggle ur toes it helps loadz! and talk, talk to whoever is there it helps so much!when i woke up 1st thing i did was look at the newbies and well… i couldnt stop crying!! felt so happy. the next hour or so are a blur of random phone calls to people lol i was off my face. only had slight pain, wasnt even pain just discomfort but i had the worst sickness every bit of food that touched my tounge the colour drained from my face and i had to do brething exercises! when i stood up for the first time that was terrifying as i couldnt adjust to the weight! i got alex 2 eat my pasta as i couldnt and once i was ready and had an anti sickness injection i got up, dressed and checked out with my drugs twins and dodjy hair by half 4!

Thanks ladies! Yes add away! Mr Singh is lovely! I’m so glad I went with him he is truly amazing and will always listen to what u want and would like to achieve! He will push boundaries where maybe some surgeons don’t! The hospital is lovely! All the staff are lovely professional it’s clean everywhere! I have absolutely loved every minute of my experience and would go through it all over again xx

lauren shall put some pics up tomorrow/over the weekend as the tape will be off go for the 470s :p and honestly babe ul love it i promise u! ul look back and be like wow that was easier than i thought ! healing is going so well which im pleased about! shall except now chanelle, i started a 32a, will put a pre-op pic up aswel! xx
