Hi ladies,
Sorry its took me so long to post my story to you all. Everything went really well!!
I had 340 overs from a 36a. Wearing a C cup sports bra at the moment.(bit tight)
I went as a day case on April 13th to Highfields, Rochdale. I was actually on holiday at the time in our touring caravan in York so my sister in law came to collect me on the morning about 6:30am and i left my youngest son and husband to be at the caravan while we set off to the hospital. I was not nervous at all, i had been nervous the day before but on the morning i just couldn’t wait to get there!!
We arrived at 7:25am, i filled in a form (with my doctor and next of kin etc) and was seated in the waiting room for ten mins, then the porter took me along to my room.(Which was lovely). After a short wait the nurse came along and took my blood pressure, followed by the anethastist and asked a few questions, if i had had a GA before etc.
Still was not nervous at this point me and my sister in law just chatted and chatted and chatted lol. The nurse came along after an hour or so to explain that Mr Traynor was delayed and he wouldn’t be long. Eventually at 1:15pm they arrived to take me down. Once inside the room and i had laid on the bed i started to shake, the nerves kicked in. Im not scared of needles so that part was ok, they put on the mask over my nose inserted the anethsetic and i had the taste in my mouth which was not very nice but didnt have time to think about it i was out for the count!!.
Woke up in no pain and had a drink of water. Was shaking a little but this didn’t last long. It was 2pm now. I dozed for half an hour or so and asked them to bring me my sandwich i was starving!! (followed by 6 pots of tea!!). Felt really good considering what i had just had done!. Took myself to the toilet which was fine, no wobbles or pain, rsted for a while then got dressed. I was given my medication which was only paracetamol and antibiotics (cant take anything with ibropfen in, makes me ill)and was discharged. The time was 7:25pm exactly 12 hours since i went in!!.
Me and my sister in law stayed in the local Toby hotel for the night which was nice and left in the morning for the caravan which is why i have taken so long to post my story as i only arrived back yesterday!!.
My experience was great and glad i have finally done it, after waiting 15 years!!.
I have not really taken any pain relief because i have not needed it. Just a bit uncomfortable.
will post my pics over this weekend to share.
Thanks for all your help and letting me read your stories. xx
