We had a very early start, up at 5am so I could have a shower, left home at 6am (admission time was 10am). It took 3 and a half hours to get there (lots of traffic).
The Nurse came to do my pre op checks, then later Mr C came with consent forms, to mark me up and take pics. He couldn’t tell me how long I had to wait so just watched tv, read some mags, listenened to my IPod etc I went in to theatre at 12:30pm then got back to my room at 1:45pm. Hubby and the kids came back once I came round and I felt pretty good once I woke up.
Within a couple of hours I was chomping at the bit to go home but I had to wait at least 4 hours which was fine, I was just conscious of the long drive back home and getting my kids to bed at a reasonable time. The nurse came round at 4:30 asking if Mr C had been to see me, to which I replied no, she called around the whole hospital and his mobile and was unable to get hold of him – he had left! Must confess after paying £3600 for this I thought he would have come to see if I was ok and give me some post op advice. she told me to wait until 6pm and if he hadn’t come back se would get another Doctor so I could be discharged.
Well by 5:30pm my 2yr old was very tired and grumpy, (understandably as it had been a long day bless her) another nurse then came in and offered to get someone else so we could go home. Which I have to say he came really quickly and was lovely, but he had to ask what I had done.
Don’t get me wrong I feel fine and was desperate to leave, all the staff were fantastic, the room was perfect, a massive hanks to the nurse who was fab with my kids and kindly gave them treats and drinks, but I do feel disappointed that Mr C didn’t check on me. I had to ask how long to keep my stockings on for and when I could remove my top bandage. None of this info was volunteered to me.
On the plus side I feel great, a little tender and bruised but I’ve not needed any painkillers at all. I’m really pleased with my new boobies. If I can offer any advice to anyone who hasn’t been in yet it would be to take a pillow for in the car I rested it between my assets and seat belt!! Also at my consultation he recommnded 525 he even said I could go bigger if I wanted, the 525 looked huge just under my top so I said that I didn’t want to go bigger. Looking at them today bearing in mind they are still quite swollen I could have gone bigger, although I wanted a natural look so not disappointed at all. I guess what I’m trying to say is they look smaller once they are inside you so don’t be put off if they recommend a bigger size – they do it all the time and they know what is right for you.
I’ve added a couple of pics if anyone want to take a look, I had 525 hp overs. Worth bearing in mind I’m not as slim as many of you (unfotunatley lol) Im a size 14 so may be difficult to compare sizes if your really slim!
