Morning Ladies!
My stats – originally measured a 32c but looked more of an a/b.. had 410cc high profile overs with mr singh yesterday.
I thought i’d let you all know about my day yday and what to expect.
I got my admission time on Monday for 7.30am at Fitzroy square in London. Just a quick note to anyone who is going there, there’s no parking and is in the congestion zone, we had to pay £28 for 8 hours at the nearest NCP carpark but i wanted my boyfriend to stay with me so was happy to cough up.
So we get there and spend 15mins in reception and they give me a quick form to fill in before a nurse takes you up to your room.
Fitzroy is a lovely hospital, it isn’t a massive place its in a big old victorian building, its really clean and modern and i felt really comfortable there.
My room was basic and had all the basic stuff you’d expect including a tv (the wifi wasn’t working though). The nurse asked me to take my time and get undressed and just put my gown, really unsexy big paper knickers and the dressing gown they provide on. she also asked me to pee in a cup which she took for the pregnancy test. Then she gave me a lunch menu that had loads of options on it, sarnies, jacket pots, cheesecake, ice cream.. also she said that Nik could order something if he wanted.
Then another nurse comes in and she took my blood pressure and asked about my general health and got me to sign a form saying you wont drive, oh and confirmed my pregnancy test.. “negative” phew!! Then she gave me a pair of bed socks to put on and said i was third on the list, so i had a little wait so nik had time to off to get himself some breakfast (loads of food places around there) whilst i watched a bit of tele in bed.
By the time he got back Mr Singh had come in to see me. He took pictures and wrote 410cc on me and circled a mole that i asked him to remove last min too. He was really lovely man, very smiley and made me feel at ease, we discussed what i wanted again and said that he would prefer for me to have the implant over the muscle which i agreed to (less pain apparently
). He went off and another smiley lady came in, she was the anesthetist. She just confirmed a few things like that i hadn’t eaten anything etc and i told her that the last time i had an anesthetic i was very sick after, she said it wasn’t a problem and said she would adjust the anesthetic and leave me a little longer to come around.
After speaking to them i felt like i was ready to go, no nerves.
At 1030 the first nurse came back in and said it was time to go, so we walked down to theatre. she asked me to lie on the bed and covered me u with a blanket, by this time i think i’d started to get the shakes! The anesthetist came back in with her assistant and they talked to me about my job and where i lived. They put the cannula in my left hand,( its really not bad at all, just dont look) and started to put the drugs in, i felt really heavy and very relaxed very quickly, then they put my oxygen mask on me and i was agonna.
I woke up and looked at the clock it was 1200 and was in a small recovery room by myself with the anesthetist lady sat next to me. She spoke to me for a while and then i was wheeled into my room. somehow i was back on the 3rd floor already. They put me back into my bed and i wasn’t in any pain what so ever, although it did feel like i had a small animal lying on my chest. They hooked me back up to the machines, just a clip on the finger and kept my blood pressure pad on my arm.
The nurse fetched me a pot of tea and some biscuit’s and because i was able to keep that down they brought me my lunch. YUM!
The next thing i knew it was 330 and the nurse said if managed to get dressed alright i would be able to go home, she came back in at 4 and took the cannula out (didn’t feel that either) i took some of my pain killers and took a slow walk back to the car.
The journey home wasn’t bad at all, it was the bit i was dreading because the suspension on my car is soooo hard and an pothole feels like uve hit something but i just wore a coat to make sure that my seatbelt didn’t rub, some of you with a longer journey may want a blanket though.
Got home by 5.30 and still in no pain but a little stiff and just trying not to overdo it, got a huge appetite though!!! Took some pain killers and only woke up twice in the night to adjust my pillows, feelin good this morning and trying to get out for some fresh air, going to have to get nik to reorganise the flat for me a little though as im having trouble getting things off shelves and opening the fridge door.
So i am all taped up and very swollen at the mo but looking forward to having a proper look at them on tuesday, really pleased with the results so far! The day went so quickly and i can’t believe i’m all done, everyone at that hospital was amazing and so glad i finally did it! Everything was so easy and laid back.
I will be adding some pre and post op pic this eve,
i think thats most things, good luck to everyone who is waiting!

Hi hon, good to read your story, sounds like everything went really smoothly. The hardest bit now is waiting 4 days to see them! The tape is driving me mad now. Did you manage ok with the v pillow? Am finally getting to grips with it! Look forward to seeing your pics, hope your recovery keeps going as well as it has been, not long before you can see the results without the tape, you’ll be dying to take it off by then as it starts getting really itchy. Congrats!!!
Thanks for sharing, great story, happy healing honey.xxx
