My Story qith Dr Adamo 4/5/11 – pics uploaded! :)

Hi Girlys!!

WELL – I am all done!! here my story…

Arrived at Highgate at 7:15 so my mum could get a parking space.. admission time was 7:30… signed in with the receptionist, and was shown to my room after about 20 mins.. room number 316 Highgate doesnt have a ‘hospital’ feel to it, more like a hotel!… room was very nice, ensuite shower room & plasma t.v..

The Aneasthetist came to see me at 8am, lovely lady, very reassuring and friendly, and the nurse came in with my sexy hospital gown, paper knickers & stocking, *wit woo!* … she was very chatty & friendly aswell, the staff at Highgate definitely put u at ease… she was saying how lovely Dr Adamo is and he’s her secret boyfriend lol.

Think i was Adamo’s first one of the day, he came up to see me at 8:30 to draw on me (looked like i had the m6 motorway between me B cups, my mum was laughing her head off! lol).. then off he went and said he’s be seeing me very soon, eeek! my palms started sweating at this point, think the reality of it finally hit me!

The nurse came and walked me down 2 the theatre, chatting away asking me if i had any holidays booked to show off my new additions, 2 which i said yes, Ibiza!… was shown into theatre, laid down on the table & the aneasthetist proceeded to put the needle in my hand ready for the aneasthetic (which hurt a bit, she said after to the nurse yes i thought that needle looked a bit blunt!) nice! but it wasnt that painful, was over in a second…Dr Adamo was stroking my hair as i drifted off bless him.. i remember saying to them i’m gonna count to 10 & see how far i get – dont think i even got to 1!! lol!

Remember looking at the clock, and it was 9:25am – and exactly 10:25am when i woke up! – i had the shakes quite a bit (didnt feel particularly cold tho, but they shoved a heater under my covers which did the trick!) remember asking if my mum was still there, and chatting away about tea & biscuits and elephants!! haha..

Remember thinking blimey they are wheeling me fast on this trolley when they took me back to my room… where my mum was waiting and gave me a little cuddle

Lunch was delivered at about 1am, which was lovely, but was a struggle to swallow as my throat was sore from when they pull the tube out from your throat towards end of the op… my mum helped me finish it off lol… dinner was at 5pm, again very nice loved the caramel apple crumble tart yum!

Dr Adamo didnt see me until about 6:15 – so i was in quite long for a day case.. and was discharged at 6:30, getting home at 7:30.

All in all, my experience at Highgate was really good, pre-op girls there is def nothing to worry about! it’s all over so quick, and the staff there are all lovely.

Gotta say, i love my new twins!! have had no pain at all since the op – just a heavy ache… wish i could have gone bigger, but think the next size up for me 365’s would have been too big and fake looking – i’m glad i stuck with the 310’s, which Adamo recommended from the start – he def knows what he’s talking about – def take on board ur surgeons opinions pre-op girls!

Right – am gonna stop waffling now coz could go on forever! will keep updating my recovery – and of course my pics!! let me know what u think girls – to me my left boobie seems a bit higher up & bigger – but i know they’ve got aaaages yet to drop & settle.

your pics look great I had that awful tape round mine for the first week! I have some pics up as well, and will add more today as i’m three weeks post op now wooo!

have lots of rest for the first few days and enjoy being a couch potato!! hehe I loved it

Looking great hun i bt you cant wait for Ibiza now!!!! i saw a nurse at Harley Med today and she recommended 365cc HP unders for me…. although 320cc looked good to.. i can not wait until i see Adamo now!!!! )

Francesca! glad 2 hear ur day went well too – lookin forward 2 seeing ur pics, do u think u can tell we both had Adamo then? ooohh will be interesting to compare, bet they look wicked!

Girls – i dont know how long to wear my Macom bra for?? Adamo said again before i left Highgate that it wouldnt really make difference wearing a bra or not, but i’ve paid £30 so wanna get some wear out of it! am thinking maybe just overnight, and on / off throughout the day? – aint got a clue what bra i’m gonna wear when going back to work next wednesday….. xxx

Glad to hear your story. I’m probably also going to be the first one so wanted to know the admission time and when the surgeon comes and sees us. I have a daughter and the nursery only opens at 7am so my husband will have to arrive to highgate after me. Hope he’s still on time when dr C comes to measure me…

Your story helped me alot i love reading them.

Im waiting for my 2nd consultation next week with mr adamo but i just cant wait now to get the op over and done with. The only thing that freaks me out is the tube that goes down your throate!!!! things like that freak me out did u feel it…and they definantly take it before u wak eback up lol im such a baby.
