So, I had my uplift and implants (300cc) on Thursday with Mr Traynor at Rochdale. The hospital was brilliant. My admission time was 12pm and shortly after that I saw the nurse and the aneasthetist. Both were lovely and I was told i’d probably wake up from the anaesthetic about an hour after the surgery. I then placed my order for dinner before I went down to theatre at 2:45 (starving by that time!!!).
So, I didn’t wake from the anaesthetic until 8:50pm!!! I couldn’t face the dinner i’d ordered so i had a cup of tea and 1/2 a slice of toast, had some painkillers and then went back to sleep… until 7:30am. Woke up, had more tea and toast, painkillers and fell back asleep until 10:15am. Mr T then came in to check all was OK… he was happy so i was sent home:-)
Got home and all i have done is sleep!!!! well… almost… i’m keeping on top of the drugs as its still pretty painful, and watching a couple of dvds in between. I’m finding it VERY hard letting my husband do everything… its a total role reversal and my two boys are wondering what is going on!!!!
Aside from that, my boobs are looking pretty good. I’m pretty bruised at the sides of my body and one is more swollen than the other, but so far, i’m happy with how they look. Fingers crossed for Wednesday when i see the scars:-D
One issue… the sticky dressings on my left boob had obviously been pulled too tight and had basically caused a big blister to appear on my boob. Yesterday morning this split open and all the puss went on to my dressings. This yellow (so probably septic!)puss is now on my dressings but not by my scars at the moment. As yesterday was Saturday, i rang the emergency helpline just to check that i didn’t need to get my dressing changed or anything. I left my name, number and message. Today is Sunday and I still haven’t been called back. What type of emergency line is that?????
