Will what can I say!
My admission time was 9.30, I waited about 10mins for my room, all stuff I’d meet so far where lovely.
Nurse came in to check everything was ok and to do my obs!
Actually they came in about 3 times to check everything but they are only doing there jobs, we would soon moan if they didn’t!
Mr adamo came in about 11.45 did his drawings on me and went everything thatvwas gonna happen and should he would b about an hr.
Will 12.30 a nurse came in to walk me down to theatre! Everyone there was lovely, chatting away to me and to be honest sort of forgot why I was there! Lol.
Anyway I got on the bed and took the top half of my gown down….the nurse started laughing! Hold on she said we need to put u to sleep first. We don’t need to see them just yet! How funny! I’m stripping already for the docs and nurses!
They put a mask over my mouth was I hated and started gagging, I asked if I could hold it, which they where fine with, before I knew it 2 deep breathes later I was sleeping beauty.
Then I heard someone calling Tracy-my name! I thought please don’t wake me just yet I was enjoying that sleep.
Will I looked at the clock in front of me, 1.20pm, bloody hell that was quick. I came round really quickly and the nurse with me said I was doing really well and how do I feel? How do I feel-absolutely fine!
I then got wheeled back to my room about 1.40 where my hubby was waiting for me. I was shaking like mad but that’s the GA.
Nurse came in to do obs on me every half hr or so, I didn’t move and wanted to rest as much as possible. I did have a little peek but wouldn’t! I did think they where gonna b bigger!
I had some t and toast which was nice as my throat was a little dry and sore. Just taking little sips of water as well.
About 5oc nurse said when mr adamo is out of threate he would b round to discharge me. Anyway she came back round and said he would b a lot longer than expected. So she would get me and the hubby dinner. A lovely 3 course meal went down a treat as I hasn’t eaten since the night before! Compliments to the chef it was just what I’d needed.
A did feel a little dizzy and faint when I get up a could of times to go to the loo.
Then I got discharged by dr adamo and he said he’d see me in 6 wks. My journey home was just over an hr back to Essex and was fine in the car. I went straight to bed when I got in.
I only slept a few hrs at a time as I kept slipping down with all the pillows.
My boobs haven’t been a problem at all, it’s been my back and bum, feel so numb! I’m just not used to sitting around! I’ve been taking my meds even through I’ve felt ok and I just want to keep the pain at bay! Also I have felt really sick. So I’m eating little and often to help.
I’m day 4 now and it’s the first day I’ve put a support bra on, coz the band was resting on my incisions and I didn’t want to aggravate them.
I couldn’t fault all the nurses at highgate hospital, they really are lovely and I hope they all enjoyed the big box of chocolates I left for them.
Anyway I hope I haven’t at all bored any of u, I just thought I’d share my experience as I’m so pleased I had new boobies and really don’t know why I haven’t had this done before now.
Good luck to everyone this year having surgery, Tracy x

Sharon24jan, honestly journey was absolutely fine, I’m in benfleet so not to far from u, just relax and go with the flow, rather than being tense. I have no pain at all but it’s my back and bum thats killing me! So so numb! And sleeping up right is a pain but I have been shifting my legs on to my side and have a pillow under my knees which has helped x
