Hi Girls thought i would post my story (sorry its a bit late) as i know how helpful everyone else’s has been for me so here goes :)

Arrived in Rochdale on the Monday evening as was staying in hotel. Got to the hotel which was the travel lodge in Birch services, bargain for £19 a night but cost us £10 in taxis to the hospital and train station! Was slightly worried as was in bed the previous day for 24 hours with a really bad throat, ears and head but thankfully started to feel better on the monday :)

Admission time was 9:30 got there 5 minutes late and was told to fill in some forms which took 5 mins. Was then taken to my room (number 17) which was really nice and the nurse came in, took my blood pressure talked me through it answered any questions i had and gave me my gown and sexy stockings! No one had told me i would need slippers and a dressing gown for a daycase so i had to wear another gown for my front. Was around 10:30 and was told Mr T would be in more or less straight away so to get changed. Felt really dehydrated so couldnt wait to get it over and done with and was hoping it would be quick. I had kept in touch with pocohontas (boobie buddy) on here and seen she had her op and was back in her room across the hall so popped over to see how she was and she was absolutely fine which really settled my nerves :) Got to around half 11 and was getting a bit impatient now i felt sick and needed a drink and was just walking about my room. Mr T came in about 12 drew on me and asked what size i wanted.. had an option from 380, 410 or 460 and decided to go for the bigger one (only finally decided when he came in!) he said the anaesthetic < (i think that how u spell it haha) would be in soon so was waiting again and he came in around quarter to 1 and explained how i would be put to sleep. Was then walked down to theatre at around 1, started getting a bit nervous now.. was told to lay on the bed and he put the needle in my hand, they were all really friendly, we were chatting about my university and what i was studying then they just asked if i was ready to be put to sleep and i said yes hurry pleaseee just wanted it over and done with and then i just remember drifting off.

Next all i remember was waking up and talking about my puppy.. dont ask haha! I then started really shaking because i was freezing and the nurses got me loads of blankets and i finally calmed down and then i must have been taken back to my room about 2:15 and was in and out of sleep for half hour. I remember lisa (booby buddy) coming in to see me as she was aloud to go by that point and she looked really well and boobies looked amazing so i was glad she was okay :) I felt really dizzy a bit spaced out. The wires coming from my nose was really annoying me so couldnt wait to get them out and the needle in my hand was causing a bit of discomfort as well so made sure i had something to eat which i ordered tomato and basil pasta but couldnt really stomach much and drank some water and also done a wee so i could get it out. All in all i felt okay when i come out of surgery i felt a lot of pain and tightness and remember looking down and seeing to big bumps woooooo :) as the day went on the pain started to go and i just wanted to get back to the hotel, so spoke to the nurse and she said i could go if i felt upto it, got my meds which was extra strong cocodamol and my antibiotics and got discharged around 6pm. Ordered a taxi and my boyfriend who i must also add has been absolutely AMAZING i dont know what i would have done without him asked the taxi driver to be gentle and the journey was absolutely fine :) got to the hotel got into bed, had a burger king, read some magazines and watched some TV. My 34E sports bra felt to tight and i didnt have another one so rang the emergency nurse who said to sleep with a tight top on so had to do that.. woke up one during the night with a numb bum but apart from that slept right through until 9am :) Everyone at highfield was absolutely amazing and couldnt fault them at all and the experience was amazing as well.. i would do it all over again!! all you pre-op ladies have nothing to worry about you are in good hands and it will be all done before you know it!!

Sorry for the rant.. i havent went back through it so hope it makes sense and any questions just ask :) xxx
