My Story … Very Late … Sorry :-(

Hi Girls ,

I had my BA on the 7th April @ Highgate with Mr Adamo, Admission time 4pm.

Before Stats: 20yrs old, 5ft5, 8.5stone, size 8/10, 32smallC

Im sorry this is so late. I have been stupidly busy with uni work.

When I found out my admission time I thought .. YUCK. But when it got to the day I was happy about it. I was able to get up at normal time, go to the gym, have a shower and wash my hair before going

I arrived at highgate 20mins early. I filled in the usual forms, and I was shown to my room 205. It was lovely, really modern and comfy. The nurse came in took all of my obs, and measured me for my sexy socks! I filled in the dinner menu I chose juice pasta and fruit salad.

Mr Adamo came in around 4:30, we chose 410s. I was a bit undecided between 380s. But I took his advice – after all its his profession. He said Id be going in within the next half hour.

25mins later (just after 5) the nurse came to get me. I was scared about being put to sleep, and did worry more when the nurse said I had to go alone! I thought my mum would be with me! But I got on with it, the nurses were amazing – all really reassuring. They put my cannula in, and it hurt … REALLY hurt. But next thing I knew I was waking up.

I went back to my room, had a look at my new assets .. I thought oh god they are huge. They were really cone shape and my nipples were really swollen. Mr adamo doesnt bandage you all up, so there was just plasters covering the insisions. I then had some toast, and then my dinner – which was lush. My mum stayed until 11, and then I went to sleep. I slept quite well – mostly due to the anaesthetic!! and woke up once to take painkillers. But I was in no pain, just uncomfy to sleep sitting up!!

When I woke up I had cereal, toast, juice and 3 cups of tea!! My boyfriend came up to meet me which was lovely as even one night i missed him! he packed my bag and helped me get ready, and we left. The 90min drive home was fine – no pain again I thank the late anaesthetic!

The next 5 days were hard. I wasnt in pain generally, but I found that I would often slip down the bed. Getting up was awful, the blood rushed to my boobs and the sensation was indescribable! The 1st night it made me sick and faint. I made sure after that I had my painkillers regularly!!

I had my 1st shower after 4 days, I washed my own hair which was fine. I went for a little walk which was fine at first but did start to feel funny. Still no pain though.

I went for my one week check up which was all fine. However did realise I did need to buy a sports bra!! (mr adamo says its not necessary)They changed my dressings and I was off!

I did buy a support bra in a 34DD … so will hopefully be a 32E. I do find that my nipples are sore after being in a bra all day .. but they are getting better.

3 weeks on and I can honestly say its the best thing Ive ever done! The swelling has gone down so much I think there is a tiny bit to go down. The shape is getting better – they look less stuck on!! They are already softening up. I love them. I am able to do most things now … except exersize! I can drive, shower, lift, go to uni. My scars are almost invisible … they are so neat! I love Mr Adamo!

MYA have been amazing, from start to finish, since my op they have called me regularly to check Im ok. They called on the day before and the day after the op. They have been brilliant.

I want to say thank you to all the girls on here who made the whole experience so much easier.

Hey!!! So lovely and reasuring to hear your story.. I am having my Ba in june and im a small C and also having 410’s but like you I am undicided whether to go smaller.. I am 20 and also and uni but I am waiting till exams are over!! I am so scared about the GA soooooooooo scared.. I am scared that you fainted to eeek, do you think that was because you did not take the pain killers?? If you could would you be able to send me some pics that would be amazing, just so I can make my mind up!! Hey. congrats on your new boobs :o) Pleased you are happy with them and Mr Adamo! He is doing mine in 6 weeks time! Did you have overs or unders? Great to read how you got on xx
