Fat Transfers 7/10/11
Journeys started at 2.30pm Thursday 6/10/11,reached the hotel in Cambridge at 8.30pm,Friendly staff clean room, early to bed,up at 4.30,exercised and showered ready for taxi to take me to the hospital for 6.45,admission 7am.
Got to my room around 8am,Nurse came in and took blood pressure, oxygen levels, completed forms. changed in to my gown and stockings,no paper pants due to needing access to the donor areas, inner and outer thighs,Surgeon said there was’nt enough fat anywhere else.
Mr Erian and Mario came in about 8 am,I was second on the list, doodled on my face and neck, explained fully about the healing process the dressings and the additional procedures,I will need when I have recovered from this procedure.(Deep Chemical Peel)to remove fine lines on fore head and reveal fresh skin,as opposed to fillers to remove the lines,no more sunshine on face for me girls,it will be fake tan all the way,and factor 50 on my face everyday.
Anaesthetist came to see me to discuss GA.I was originally going to be awake, but he decided asleep was the best option, thank god, lol.
Theatre at approx10.30,the anaesthetist was so gentle I did’nt feel a thing, mask over my face, then waking up in recovery 1pm,starving and needing the loo, face is covered in big dressings,I look like mummy returns.
The donar areas had to be re dressed as they kept bleeding, the nurse gave me lots of dressings to take home with me,after an hour they were fine, quite sore, but not painful.
I had something to eat, felt fine went to the loo, nurse checked that I wasnt dizzy, surgeon came to see me said that he was happy with the procedure,I could go home, dressings can be removed on Monday,I will be swollen for a couple of weeks. Nurse came with medication, got dressed ordered a taxi,on the first train back home at 4pm,arrived back home at 10.30,my neighbour came to collect me from the station, had some chicken soup, my antibiotic and straight to bed, slept through till 4.30,no pain whatsoever, have’nt had to take my Tramadol yet,so fingers crossed.
Tried to text a couple of you but I must have put the wrong number in.Thankyou so much for all your good wishes, they really did mean a lot to me,Anchovie,my little Guardian Angel, thanks for all the lovely texts they kept me calm…..milliejo,glad you are ok, and your op went well, happy healing honey,To all the girls that messaged me thankyou so much your support has been amazing,This forum is an absolute god send,my scary pics will be up over the weekend.lol.
Got a few strange looks on the trains, the train wreck face came in handy as I did’nt have a reserved seat, but the guy at the first station got me on the train in a fab seat,he radioed on to the next station,I was met and put on my next train, treated like royalty, wonderful experience from start to finish.xxx

A little off topic but I use factor 50 as well (have also had peels) and a lot are really thick but Mac do a factor 50 primer which is great and Jan Marini also have a factor 50 face cream which is really light as well and smells great – don’t buy the Lancome one, it’s rubbish x x
