MYA Confirmation Letter?

Hi,

I’m just wondering if any of you ever received any paperwork in regards to their op? I booked my date, 3rd Aug, about 5 weeks ago now and never received anything confirming it. When it came to my consultation and pre-op, I had to chase for info of where I was going. Then the Surgeon and nurse knew nothing about my op date as there was no paperwork in my file. Head office then called me a few days later for final payment and they confirmed that I was booked in. I have asked my PC again if I should have some paperwork, but she hasn’t as yet got back to me (emailed her on Monday). I have however received my receipts for deposit and full payment (although I had to chase up the deposit one).

I just wondered if this was general practice? Seems a little strange that I have just paid out all that money and haven’t received confirmation letters, info, etc.

I got a letter confirming the date, surgeon and hospital etc when I got my receipt for the deposit x

i got a letter confirming same stuff as belle, but i had to chase it up via the mya moderator and now everything has ran smoothly, fingers crossed as my ops wed x

I had similar problem but just thought it was a manual error and will sort at pre op next week. I was told that they would send paperwork and confirmation and details of op but I never got anything through. I did get my receipt for the depot sent and I paid in full yesterday so I guess I’ll see if that receipt comes in the post!!!! X

I got loads of paperwork sent from them including as above date hospital surgeon etc xx

Ok, seems to be an admin process failure for me then!! Not really impressed especially as I’ve raised it twice now. Needs to be sorted this week as my op is the following week!

Just for piece of mind u def want your paperwork hopefully Mya moderator will pick this up n sort it for you I wouldn’t worry tho xxx

i had this problem getting hold of my PC and ive paid a deposit and got a receipt for that but no paper work confirming the date of surgery and stuff?? i didnt actually even think u got one to be quite honest… should i try and get hold of my PC regarding this ?? xx

Hi Zoe, I spoke to my PC this afternoon. You should receive an invoice which states the date, location, surgeon, cost. Contact your PC who will deal with it for you.
