I really want a BA but i know i wont be able to save up because im useless and dont want to wait much longer. Im only 19 and dont have much credit history, but ive got a full time job and know i could afford to pay for it monthly. Does anyone know what the criteria is for the finance Mya do? and is is hard to get? or any other ways people have got the money for it??

I have NO credit history hin n im using the finance to pay for half of my BA!!
Youll just need a garantour to be accepted probs.. Like me
hope this helps xxx
I didnt find myas finance company (first medical loans) very good at all and wouldnt recommend them to anyone, wanted to borrow £3,500 they wouldnt let me on my own so my boyfriend became a guarantor and even then said i could only borrow £2000 or would need a 3rd guarantor! its not as if we both earn rubbish wages either so i gave up with them and got a loan from my bank (lloyds) and the money was in my account the same day
just thought id let you know my experience with them as i wasted a lot of time and effort as you have to post off so many different things!! x
I was told i needed a Guarantor and im working full time with a fair credit history! I was refused a loan at the bank and also a credit card so my last option was an overdraft with my bank and i was accepted for £2700! my stepdads lending me rest x
I tried for a tesco loan about a year ago but got declined, but im on a better job with more money so im hoping that might help. Ive already got an overdraft and credit card so dont think id get much more. I really want one, my mum has said she will be a guarantor for me so fingers crossed, thanks girls

Hi chels29x
To apply for finance you should be over 18, and working 20 hours minimum, so you’ve got those two boxes ticked already! You should be earning around £1000, have no CCJ’s (in the last 36 months) and no bankruptcies (as you’re only 19, I shouldn’t see the last one being an issue)
Should you satisfy these; I shouldn’t see there being much of a problem in attaining finance. The only thing I would say is that if you don’t have much of a credit history; then you may have to add a joint applicant to strengthen your application.
If you would like to speak about your options in greater detail, please private message us or e-mail your contact information to info@mya.co.uk & we’d be happy to help.
