Mya mod, some advice plz?

Hi mya mod, i am one of mario russos ex patients having had my PIP implants removed and replaced by him twelve weeks ago. As yet i have not officially been informed that mario has indeed been suspended and only found out by reading it on here. I have contacted the manchester clinic myself to see what will happen regarding my aftercare and have been informed to see another surgeon, which is fine. My query is when are marios patients going to be formally informed of the recent events? As you can appreciate it is quite concerning that i was operated on by a surgeon who has now been suspended by the GMC and have not yet been informed by MYA as to why this happened? I feel that since i previously had the PIP implants which were done by MYA, and have had to deal with that very stressfull ordeal, that i deserve this curtosy. However im sure i speak for other Russo patients to, thanks

Hiya x I feel exactly the same,i had my op re-done 11th April due to PIPs. I also have not been told anything at all about this, to be honest i did not expect to cosidering the way i have been dealt with. I have an appointment with him on 19th June, Manchester for Post op. My appointment had been cancelled, re-arranged, cancelled also being miss informed and not told the appoinment was cancelled, grrrr i was emergencyas at 6 wks had open wounds still. Anyways i will call Monday as i doubt they will call me to explain whats happening. I am not happy with my boobies and really needed to speak with him about this. I feel so stressed and unhappy since January when i found out i had PIP’s just feel like its never ending!!!!

Niccinoo, thats really bad isnt it, it is a shambles the way mya are dealing with this. I do underdstand that mario probably had alot of past and pending patients that have to be contacted, however i feel i have given them a decent time span waiting before i am starting to ask questions about why we havnt been informed directly yet. Finding out on here is not only stressfull but tactless. Dolcie, im the same, i had to contact the clinic manager to sort out my follow up care, and to be fair i think that a wole lot of this is out of thier hands and this should be being dealt with by the senior management as a matter of urgency, especially now that it is out in the press. Lets wait and see if mya mod is about and responds with somthing satisfactory xx

It’s just awful it was bad enough going through the whole PIP ordeal, but it was the same with the PIP’s, i was not notified i heard it in the news. I heard about Russo this morning only when i was on So feminine forum someone had put a post there. I then googled and logged on here just to try and get all the information about it that i could find. I dont know why he has been suspended but i guess its all being investigated. They have had 10days we should of been notified already! I will ring tomorrow and ask if they will be cancelling my appointment as, probably no one will contact me and it will be the same old…. I will call them on my way to appointment like last time to let them know i’m on my way!!!! to be told his day is cancelled again.

I spoke to mya mod regarding this and got some excuse that posting it on here was the best way of telling people about it. My pc called me but didn’t really give me any information about whether it would affect me just that if I had problem then I could see another surgeon. I agree with everyone that instead of the information being posted in the public domain mya should have contacted mr Russos past and future patients in the first instance.

Hi lozza..i had mario 11wks ago n like every1 else the only way u get 2 find out ne info is on here!. I was ment 2av my check up with him in june so i was expecting a call. Hope we get some answers soon!. X
