Hi girls, had my op yesterday (27th) at Preston. Admission was 4 in my room for about 4:10 with nurse, I got my gown, paper knickers, socks and pot for pregnancy test. All staff were so lovely and calming – anaesthetist introduced himself as well as the other 2 nurses and then dr Traynor himself who then drew on me. I was down in theatre about 6 ish and out by 7 ish – came round pretty quick no sickness just a bit dazed. Minimal pain just very tight. Got discharged 10 ish was home for 11. Slept through to 3am had my pills and back to sleep. Feeling more pain today as anaesthetic is wearing off but all in all it is NOT worth the panic or worry and I couldn’t have had a better experience with MYA. I really recommend having your surgery with MYA and couldn’t thank all the staff and doctors enough.
A MUST – is a V-Pillow in the car and at home. Very useful and helpful.
