Ba daycase is £3850. tell them i recommended you and you will get another £150 off. They use a finace company, never heard of a saving scheme. You can book your surgery in advance, but only by about 6 months. xx

Thanks for replying ladies. Just rung MYA to get the facts,

The savings scheme is like holding a bank acc with them- you just pay whatever you like over however long you like

untill you have the amount of money for the procedure. Ive booked In for a consultation for 2 weeks time.

It prob would take me atleast 2 years to pay it off though.

:-( on the up side of things atleast I won’t be In debt!!

Just don’t know if I could be that patient and wait 2 whole years!!!! Xxx

Thats good then, Ive been told that Mya offer you the 12 months interst free thing without credit checking you if you have 2500 to put down… could you maybe use the mya saving scheme and save until you have got 2500 then book the op with myas finance?

Ooooo, I didn’t realise that there was no check if you have £2500…is that right? I was goingto try and save about £1500 but may as well save a bit more if that’s the case cause it seems like a lot of people have been turned down on the finance :-/ and I know my parents wouldn’t be garunteers cause they’re very anti-surgery!

    Hi everyone

I just thought I’d post to clear up any confusion! :)

There isn’t a minimum amount of time that you can save for. You just put as much as you can afford in each week, until you hit your target. Most patients take around 8-10 months to save for their operation; putting in weekly payments of around £50-£100.

You can provisionally book an operation date; which will then be confirmed when you reach your target. Should you find that you can put more in than you initially thought, then you can do this & potentially move your operation date forward.

A BA on a day case costs £3850, however it is down to the surgeons discretion whether you are suitable for this.

With regards to credit checking, on any loan, regardless of the loan amount, you will be subject to a credit check. There is not an amount that you can put down so you wouldn’t be checked. However, here at MYA we do check every application individually to ensure we continue to offer flexible payment plans.

    Hope this answers your questions!

    MYA x
