Ok ladies do they check if we have nails on??? Has everyone taken theres off!! I know it’s stupid and I should not risk it but I don’t know what to do?? I only have a clear acrylic on at the mo?? No white tips or vanish, will they not operate?? I should not risk it and take them off, because they have to monitor breatheing?? Help ladies?? Anyone had them or should I stop being silly and do what the nurse says!! Xx

i had to take mine off!! :(

i had nails on for a year, and never gave them a rest, and i HAD to take them off, my nurse even called me the day before to check, then while i was in the hospital the nurse check, and even for nail polish . . .

i’d just take them off to be on the safe side, the last thing you would want is them not to operate??xx

I think you should take them off…I remember when my mum went for a surgery for different reason, this was one of the must do to see any irregularities to your system after your surgery; i.e, your nails would change colour if there are some problems. You can always have them back sweetness, besides it is good to have them nails of yours breath fresh air. I used to wear them and decided to take them off and never had them again since. Good luck hun 😮
