Need advice 4 days post open rhinoplasty

Hey peeps!

Was wondering if anyone was feeling the same as me 4 days post op. I’ve still got a really sore throat, black eyes which is going down nicely and swollen cheeks that make me resemble a hamster lol. I still can’t breath through my nostrils and am very snotty… Which makes not touching my nose quite difficult as I’m contently dripping and blowing bubbles lol. Also is anyone suffering from blocked up ears?

I’m not too concerned about my symptoms post op as I’m sure this is all just down to the swelling which is obviously to be expected xxx

Hey, I am exactly the same I’m nearly 5 days and my nose is constantly wet 247 and it stings my stitches and bottom of nose is so sore where I have tried to dab the snot but it doesn’t help atall, so frustrating to not blow but wouldn’t dare blow it lol guess we will just put up with this uncomftable feeling be worth it in the end x

did u both have Dr G? I want him to do mine..got my consultation saturday so fingers crossed i can have finance off mya xx

It’s really annoying isn’t it!! But of course it will all be worth it in the end. Yeah staceylouise I had mr G. He’s renowned and in my opinion the loveliest surgeon, I’d recommend him to anyone xx

Yeah me2 he is so good at what he does, I trusted him so much I left him to evreything didn’t even take any pictures, I just said make is small for me lol, only thing is the recovery isn’t the most pleasent experience.. But our noses have been through lots of trauma so its not exactly gonna be a breeze lol least we get something good out of it at the end of it, that’s the only reason I’m not depressed at the moment haha x

Angeldelight when you having your stitches out? I’m having mine out on Monday mine are stinging a bit too… I think it’s where we’ve been so snotty it’s causing irritation to the site as we keep having to dab our nose. Are you still blocked up? Have you used the nasel spay yet? Xx

Yeah monday at holborn I tried it once but I didn’t like it so I’ve just left it and I’m basically constantly blocked lol, there’s the odd moment were I sneeze and I can breath through one nostrol for 5 mins lol, todays been horrible and very uncomftable, I’m just wishing the days untill I get this cast off my nose feels like it wants to explode lol xx

Mee too!! See you there!! Angel delight our experience sounds exactly the same… It’s nice to know we’re not on our own tehee!!! I wish my nose would stop being so snotty now! Xx

Erghhhh can’t stand being soooo blocked up now… Starting to drive me nuts lol x
