I have my first consultation in a weeks time- and I don’t know what to do!

I originally wanted to save with MYAs piggy bank so I didn’t get in any debt,

but I have been on this forum day and night, researching everything and I just can’t wait to save all the

    money.

I really didn’t want to do finance as paying back nearly 2Gs over the original price makes me feel sick!!!

    What to doooo!! So confused.

I could save £1000 in 6 months as im a parent and only working PT. But I really really cannot wait any longer then that!!

Help please ladies… What to dooooo :-( xxxx

Try asking for a loan with myas loan company first medical you can pay them back over 12months at 0% interest or ive heard a few people have got a good deal with some credit cards like 0% interest deals etc x

I think MYA do a 0% finance option, but you have to take it over 12 months, would that be possible for you?

Failing that, find a good Credit Card with a good rate! 23% APR is high, might be able to get a CC for about 15% depending on your rating?

I wouldn’t be able to pay it back over 12

Months as I don’t earn enough to spend to spend that much a month,

I have never taken out anything on credit- no

CC, no overdrafts, Ive never not paid for anything upfront before.

    (what kids do to us!!)

Would the bank even give me a CC with like a 2000 limit??

To be honest don’t have a clue about creditcards, APR, anything!!!

I really just don’t want to have to end up paying silly amounts of intrest!!! Xxx

Good on your for not taking anything on credit hun!!!!

If you’ve never had a card before then banks will start you off with a low credit, I think mine was 2000, moneysupermarket – you can tap in your details and it will show you which companies are likely to offer you something!

im sure i read on here about some-one eho got a tesco credit card over 15 months 0% interest, they might allow you to get loans/ credit cards if you have a gaurentour, i had to do this to get finance on my car i had never had finance or anything before but they reluctantly let me have it providing my step-dad was on the loan with me x

it al ready depends on the amount you can afford to pay back each month, go onto santander website and they have a loan calculator wher you can type in what you wanna borrow and ova the period of time and see what you have to pay each month the interest amount and how much extra you wuld have to pay ontop x

and some places offer more loans out to ppl with bad credit as they think they will make more money from they as if they miss a payment they can add more money or interest on to pay back etc thats what ive heard anyway. somethimes u can have great credit rating but cause they will know ur gunna be good at paying back maybe they think oh well were not making anything from her and they pick and choose who to give it to! its funny how it works, first medical will give me a loan providing i have a guarentour but im currently paying off finance on my car and ive never missed a payment so just shows they wont always give it to ppl with good ratings x

ive had 1 consultation with helena and im hoping to book a date end of september when my car payments finish, im going to be paying a few deposits what i can afford before hand so gunna pay £200 end of this month, £200 in may and june and then just £50 in july so all in all a deposit of £650 and im hoping to borrow £3200 from first medical to pay for the rest (£3850 altogether) and do the 0% interest over 12 months so it does work out il be paying about £270 a month back but by then il have finished paying for my finance on my car and i still live at home etc so i dnt have much to pay for so works out ok for me x

Do you know with the 0% finance 12 months if you can still use that even if you wanted to pay it bak over 24 months?

This booby stuff is highly stressful :-( you lucky girlie got yours all sorted!

well im still stressing cause a few people have been messed around with first medical like told they can have it then told they cant plus ive got quite alot to pay for in that month so ive got money worries things like car tax, insurance runs out etc just all a pain in the arse lol! and i dont think you can do it over 2 years with first medical or if you do it will be a high interest rate i think. ur best bet is to try to find a loan with the lowest interest over 2 or how every many years if you dont want high monthly payments, worth asking a few banks what ther interest rate is etc x

Try supermarket loans (you can get the points on your loyalty cards too like nectar etc so that’s always good!). I looked at Sainsburys and a £3500 loan over 4 years at just under £100 a month meant i’d may about £1k in interest, but to be honest, in the grnad scheme of things that;s a small price to pay for total happiness!

P.S. if you request a loan don’t say it’s for cosmetic surgery, say it’s for a car or home improvements or soemthing!

Hey, can i just say, everytime you apply for credit, the harder it will be as it goes on a point system, so if companies can see you have applied for credit a couple of times your score will go down, not sure why, thats just the way it works, every time u apply for credit, your name gets searched, which results in a lower score, lower the score less chance of credit.

Sorry if this dont make sence, but its all stored on a data base, xx

Thanks for that, I’ll Deffo give that ago. Sounds a bit like the Santander loan. Just hope they accept my application’

Aww del, i know i sat up for hours this morning trying to find away around it!!

Im not sure if i have one of those near me i will Deffo do some research into it.

Hubby could easily lend me the money but being a tight arse so he’s currently in the dog house.

Tesco is ment to be good for CC! I just have never applied for credit before so struggling with finding things out.

Have you tried the company MYA use?

Unsure to the reason why Santander refused me as i was only asking for 3500!! It’s

Not like it’s a huge amount to pay back, i did ask if i decreased the amount i wanted to borrow would it make a diff he said no, so I’ve Deffo given up with them!!!!!

If i find anything more that could be of use i will post on here!

    Fingers crossed xxxx

tesco is really good for accepting people, ive had one with them 2 yrs ago and i got terrible credit rating, but they only gave me £250 to start off with :(. the worst part of me applying for the loan with santander was the guy on the phone says to me, for a 4k loan its £111.00 to pay back monthly and i was like thats fab i can do that and then they decline me i was sooooo gutted. hope u get some luck hun i know exactly how your feeling xx
