I was like that when I went down to theatre and was very uneasy about it and crying and the surgeon gave me the option to be put to sleep using gas which I done! However, when you wake up the needle is kept in your hand for quite a while, mine wasn’t removed until the next morning although you hardly feel it and you are too disoriented when you wake up to care lol xx

im not sure roxiexx, i wasnt told i could have it til i was laying in the anesthetist room having a crying fit like a baby, the needle wasnt even near me!! lol. so he handed me the mask & next thing i remember is waking up back in my room, i had the cannula thing in my hand but couldnt even feel it.

there is a pre med tablet u can be given before too which is meant to help keep u calm. call ur pc and ask she should be able to tell you what the hospital ur going to can provide xx

When i asked my surgeon if i would be able to have anything to calm me down about the needle he said i will have to ask the anesthetist.

I really hope they will give me the gas lol. Not sure if iam going to be a day case or an over night stay. Iam going to the Doncaster hospital as that one isnt too far from me and my surgeon is Mr Kazzazi x
