needle phobia!!!

hi i absolutley hate needles… whenever i have had them in the past iv nearly ended up on the deck lol, get myself so worked up and have to phyce my self up for a while b4 hand. i am not botherd (at the min) atall about being cut open… funnily enough but i am sooo nervous and not looking foward to the needle in the slightest!

also i am worried that i may still have a needle in my arm/hand or one of them little plastic tube going into my hand when i wake up from the anastetic! do they leave this in incase they need to give anymore medication or do they take it out prior to you waking up?

also… do they put it in the arm or the hand??

oh god, i am gonna be such a wreck over havin a incy wincy needle, daft isnt it but im feeling realy quisy and sick just talking about it…. no hope 4 me eh lol.

any comments and advice would be greatly appriciated …

I was most worried about the needle to & told them I didn’t want it.

when it came to my turn for it to happen, I never felt him put it in my hand.

They taped it up & left it in until I was discharged.

I felt nothing when they did it or while it was in, they were fantastic hun

thanks 4 ur reply, oh i am gunna have to see if they will take it out well im still under ga lol, i know it sounds daft but i am sooo bad with them especialy the ones that stay in wish me luck lol.

its all taped up i could hardly see mine, think they leave them in incase u need medication or ote thru it.

Im a wreck when it comes to needles aswell hun. My husband told them to put me asleep with the gas mask and put the needle in when im asleep and they were fine with it babe.x

awww thats brill… ill ask them to do it that way… phheewwww thats a relief! just thought… is gas and air still allowed to put ppl to sleep ?? probs jst me bein daft bt am sure av herd it sumwer ??? xx

Hello hun i had some cream put on the back of my hands 2 hours prior my BA and it made them numb so i didn’t feel a thing when the needle went in thank god i hate needles too. When you see the nurse at the hospital ask her for it straight away and she has to prescribe it to you from a doctor at the hospital. It made me worry less when i had to go down to the GA room as i knew i wouldn’t be able to feel anything xxx

No babe its defo allowed. Ive been put to sleep a few times and everytime ive done it like that. Its funny how a scratch bothers us but being cut open and havin somethin put in dosnt seem to bother us 😆 xxx

dont know where it comes from, i just come over all Nauseous and get a funny feeling and just feel like im gonna drop get myself realy worked up if it has to be left in, cant describe the feeling i get, its horrible.

oh well… just gonna have to deal with it, it will be more than well worth it in the end with my brand spankin new boobies, cant wait xx

Don’t worry I promise it is nothing I faint every time I have to have blood taken cos I hate needs so much, didn’t hurt to have it they kept in until I was discharged and didn’t hurt to take out either you will be fine x

Hi, i had my BA yesterday and i am exactly the same as you with needles!!! when the anisatis came to see me i told him of my fear and asked how long the needle will be in my hand and just just said “oh well we can give you gas?” !!!! why didnt i ask that 9 weeks ago when i booked, because that stupid little needle is the ONLY thing i have been worrying about! the second he said i could have gas i said yes please and all my fears went out the window, and i got really excited for my turn!!!! wahho!!

The only thing is they do put it in when your asleep, but when i woke up i was aware which hand it was in but just left it under the covers, i didnt want to move it or see it, it did make me feel a bit un easy and even writing about it now is making me feel really weak and twitchy but trust me it is all worth it in the end as everybody else will tell you!!

i defo recommend you ask now about the gas as it will be a massive worry of your shoulders!!

ha ha its funny reading your comments nickijroads coz thats me all over lol, when i have had a drip in my hand in the past with pregnancy etc iv had it under the cover, left it there n disowned it untill i had it took out lol, iv even had toget the nurses to take 1 of them out b4 i finished my medication coz it was gettin to me that much im deffo gonna go 4 the gas and air

it is funny how we are not bothered about been sliced and diced on the operating table but a tiny little needle freaks us out!!! not a lot of people get how bad it is, my boyf only just realised how bad i am over them! i cant watch them on tele, talk about them nothing!!!

im 33, size 8-10 (on a thin day) was an empty 32c, had 410 overs yesterday, which makes me a 34E at the mo, at the minute im abit tender, swollen and very hard, ive not fell in love with them yet, mainly because of how heavy and weird they look, but im possitive i will love them as much as everybody else loves theirs!! all i do now is look at peoples boobs on tele asking my fella if mine are like that??? are mine that big? would my boobs look good in that? haha!

I bet you cant wait, when are you booked for, what size are you going to??

im having 4460cc n im amn empty b cup, hoping to acchive an e cup… so fingers crossed… hoping to be booked in for 23/24th of nov. cannot bloody wait
