Hi ladies, I’ve got my BA on the 4th June and I’ve just started to feel very anxious about the pain I’m going to be in afterwards… Can anyone put my mind at ease please? x

    I’ll be realistic?

Basically that first night in hospital I felt a bit feeble and was glad of the lovely nurses helping me and feeding me pain killers! For the first day at home I just felt odd but fine and just relaxed. Mucho pain killers tho and bizarre chest going on (stretched boobie thing and big sticky tape things urgh!). Day 2 or 3 (cant remember which) I went through a day of regret and wishing I hadnt had the ba. Day 4 I felt ok again (I didnt take the codeine after day 2, only the paracetamol). Day 5 day 6 day 7 things just got easier and I started being able to bumble around and sort myself out with food, drinks, clothes and so on. didnt do too much tho just gentle easy stuff. At 2 weeks I felt much better and was able to behave pretty much like normal. I was back at work after week 1.

I’m 11 weeks now and its the best thing I ever did. I’m so happy I cant begin to explain it! You’ll be fine hun absolutely fine. We naturally adapt to our surroundings and feelings and you’ll just get through it fine by taking things day by day. I didnt have any pain at all, just hte stiffness of stretched skin across my enhanced boobies! Don’t be anxious just go for it, it’s one week of stiffness and slow gentle recovery and a lifetime of happiness afterwards :-D :-D :-D

Oh thanks Clare, that’s put my mind at ease loads. What size have you gone to and what were you before?

    I’m a 36a/b and I’m having 525cc unders. Hopefully I’ll be a DD – yipee!

    Hi

I didn’t suffer any pain at all just uncomfortable. I was a bit weepy when i got back from theatre but thats it. I took the cocodemol every 4 hours during the day and none during the night until they ran out after day 4 then just paracetemol if I felt like i might need it. You just feel really stiff from the strapping. I did alot for myself really. The first day I needed help with everything from dressing, brushing my teeth to flushing the toilet but after that I did it all myself as I didn’t have anyone after the first 2 days to help me. Im only 10 days post up but getting more and more back to normal. I drove the other day but did struggle a little. Just doing more in small doses. I did have a bit of dissappointment when i took the strapping off cos of all the bruises but now love them, its the best thing ive ever done. I was a 32 small c i had 460 unders and now a dd/e.

    hope this helps x

Hi Rach, yes it does help thank you. My boyfriend came to the pre op with me the other day and he says that we’re following the nurses instructions to the letter. Knowing him, I’ll be in bed for 7 days, ha ha!!! I’m due back to work 7 days after the op so I hope I’m fit and well. x
