Never had a General Anaesthetic..

Can someone please tell me what its like and what u feel like etc. Keep having bad dreams its going to go wrong or i’ll wake up and feel it! What do u feel like when u come round x

Hi sally ive prob had about 4 i think and have my ba on friday.

You will be in your bed in the anethetic room and they will all be lovely and talk to you, then they will put a band around ur arm to bring up your veins.

They will then put a canular in the back of your hand usually. When they insert the fluid to make you go sleep they will ask you to count to 10 or count back from 10 and you will feel like a cold sensation through your arm no pain whatsoever!

And then thats it your out for the count and will have your surgery!

had my BA 2wks ago and was terrified of the ga, i spoke with a theatre nurse on arrival an she totally put my mind at rest. they monitor yr heart rate before you go to sleep so they know its resting pace, then they set a limit if when yr asleep you get near the limit they know yr startin to wake up an giv u a little more ga if needs be. I was put to sleep twice in one day 4 my BA and was absolutely fine.xx

Heyy i’ve had 2 ba’s never had a operation or anything before and was terrified of the needle ect..they put the needle for the anaesetic in the middle of my arm as they said it was less painful and didn’t hurt a bit my surgion was chatting with me then I feel asleep felt like a second had past and I was awake again with new boobs! nothing to worry about hun x

I had my ba yesterday, I woke up the night before screaming and have a huge phobia of needles, when it came to having mine strangely enough I loved it. I remember waking up in the recovery room and after asking for my mum the second thing I said was can I take some of the stuff home as I love the feeling lol, strange or what to say it was my biggest fear!! X I would do it all over again right now! X
