Nicotine test!!

Hello girls, I have surgery with dr sleiter on the 17th may só in 11 days!! I only smoke when I’m out with friends but should I be worried incase he nicotine tests me????

They didn’t test me for nicotine…

Oh really I’m just really nervous because my nurse said they would but I don’t know if they just say that to scare you!

They don’t say it to scare you they actually do test but it depends on who your surgeon is and they tell the nurses to test you x

I know someone who was tested on the day!

They don’t tend to test! It just isn’t great for the healing of your scars so I really would avoid it at least a week in advance. I smoked with friends until 2 weeks before, but then stopped as I didn’t want to hinder the healing process.
If you’re spending that much money it’s just not worth the risk for a few cigarettes!

Depends on the surgeon! Don’t risk it! They do test, but not every single person. If they test and it’s positive they will cancel your surgery.

I had stopped before my surgery but didn’t get tested xx
