Hi girls I had my BA in November and got both my nipples pierced Friday. My left one is fine but my right one I’m in agony!! It’s not infected or anything it is really clean, a tiny bit of blood as expected but am cleaning it twice a day with salt water. It’s a bit swollen but my whole nipple is so sore without me even touching it,
The rest of my boob is starting to hurt too now.
I’ve got ice on it to reduce swelling if it hasn’t changed by Friday I’ll go back but wondered if anyone had the same x

Have you been takin nurofen? That helps a great deal. Also change the salt water to saline solution (the same one that cleans contacts) iv had mine done numerous times. It’s normal for it to be sore for a while after loose fitting cloths and going bra less was most comfortable for me also putting a large plaster over it for bed as it can catch. Hope this helps. Every time I have mine done it feels like they have a pulse lol x

I had my nipple done pre-op and have taken it out now 2 weeks before my op! My nipple swelled up after I had it done and it meant I needed a wider bar but I didn’t realise until it was too late :/ I was working at my second job in a nightclub that night and couldn’t even go in and dance after my shift because if my boob would move I’d be in agony! I developed an internal lump which I presume was an infection but I would see your piercer about whether you need a wider bar as I can imagine a lump being more worrying post-op! Hopefully it’ll be nothing to worry about but it’s better safe than sorry! X

I had my nipple done 18 years ago. Took it out for the op and waited nearly 8 weeks before i put it in again. It was practically closed up so felt like i was repiercing it and my nipple is now HUGE and my breast was sore and swollen. Not sure if its coz of the piercing coz it was always the bigger one and my tit is still sore and the nipple EXTRA EXTRA sensitive now.

Get your self a NO Pull Piercing disc, they are little silicone discs that sit on the bar and protect the piercing whilst it heals and creates the Fistula (chanel for the bar to sit in) it also breaks down lumps, lumps are not infections but little balls of scar tissue. It would also be worth mentioning to need to take great care of them as any infection can spread to the implant pocket, even years later, this is why it’s not advisable for women with implants to get nipple piercings, really your piercer should have asked you if you had implants and then informed you of the risks. I hope this helps, any questions feel free to ask, I’m training a body piercer at the moment.
