Nipples point slightly different directions. Started by: jayjay11

Hi ladies, this is the first time I have posted on one of these things and I think it’s great how supportive everyone is and that there is a place we can all come and ask questions and compare stories.

I am booked in on December 6th for a BA and am starting to get really excited but anxious as well. When I was measured during the consultation my doc told me my nipples are in slightly different places on my breast. The left one is slightly higher and points more to the side and the right one points forward more. I am really worried now that when I get the implants this will be REALLLY obvious and look strange. I barely noticed before but once he pointed it out I have become really aware of it.

I am a small B and am getting a largish C, round, silicone implant, under the muscle. Does anyone have any advice on this, any help would be great.

    Thank you!!

    Hello jayjay11

Welcome to the MYA forum! Don’t worry the surgeon will always do what’s best for you on the day. Remember that no one’s breasts are exactly symmetrical and that variation ensures a natural looking result. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact your patient co-ordinator. They are always there to help and happy to do so.

Hi JayJay. You know what, I think mine point in slightly different directions as well, but NO ONE else notices! Of course the surgeon is going to, it’s his job, but I bet you no one else would even see it – we’re always more critical of ourselves :)

I can see all these little (what I think are) imperfections in my boobs now (after surgery) and yet when I went out this weekend people I didn’t know even were telling me how amazing they looked!

    Don’t worry babe ;)

i have the same problem, one nipples lower than the other and points more to the side..the only way to correct this is by cutting and re-placing the nipple, which would mean further scarring on one breast..i was advised by dr aurakzai to just go for the standard BA procedure and in future, when i get an uplift, the positioning will be corrected..unfortunatly like me, you probably wont have picture perfect boobs post op, and when i say that i mean like you see on topless models, however, in a bikini top or in clothes, you wont be able to tell and they will look amazing no doubt! just think of it like this, they will be your breasts, as they are now only bigger! can’t go wrong :) x

Hey jay jay, I had exactly the same, had never noticed difference until surgeon mentioned it. I had my BA 3 weeks ago and initially was worried that nips looked wonky. Had few tears and showed my partner, he said they look far more even then they did before and that I was just being hyper critical! Pains me to admit he was right, got my before and after pics and only when I looked at a before photo could I see how one really did point in another direction before! They look sooo much better now!

BA wont make it any more obvious but since it’s been mentioned you will probably notice it, damn it ignorance was bliss!! Don’t worry about it at all just look forward to your lovely new boobs! xxx
