No bra???

Hi Ladies,

Hope you have all had a good start to the week.

I was wondering whether any of you know whether it is ok to wear no bra four weeks post op? I have my op on 14th September and my graduation is on 13th Oct all the beautiful dresses I am looking at would look awful with a sports bra underneath lol!It would only be for around 5 hours? Many thanks

not got a clue sorry! im guessing if it was only for a few hours it would be fine, what about ur scars tho, would the wires not hurt like hell?? xxxx

Yea true didn’t think about that, think im just going to have to leave it last minute and find a dress that my new boobies feel comfortable in a few days before. Thanks for help

in george at asda there is a sort of boob tube bra thingy, but its more of crop top material, but quite supportive, so its more like a strapless bra but without cups. i tried one on today as i am am bridesmaid this weekend and need a strapless bra and il only be 3 weeks post op. it was sooooo cumfy however i needed a large and they only had medium and it felt a little too tight. so what im saying is i reccomend trying that really haha went long way round that dint i ha x

I think its 6 weeks.

But I’m sure I saw last week that someone on here got signed off after a few weeks so they could get married (I think!).

May be worth asking your surgeon

hey hun I went bra-less to a wedding at 4 weeks post op and i was fine they were just a bit achy by the evening but i had been there from 9 in the morning until 6 xx

thanks Laura, I will ask my nurse on my pre-op see if she has any advice. Thats good to know casmine thanks, i don’t mind if they ache abit aslong as it doesn’t cause any damage thanks ladies x

hiya i went to see the nurse yesterday and i am 10 days and i asked if i could go bra less for few hours or the day, and she said yes thats fine.

she said they have surgeons that say not to wear a bra at all xx
