I went up a back size and to the biggest cup size the surgeon said I would be to account for swelling. Although I wish I had went for a bigger cup size. The bra I’m wearing now (2nd day post op) is very snug. I also bought the Macom one they recommended as you only need to worry about back size. Again I went up a back size.

Hope that helps. I would recommend buying a few different sizes and returning the ones you don’t use

@adele thanks for your reply. I’m usually a 32 so I thought I’d best get a 34. I nearly got a macom but I’ve heard a lot of girls saying they’re not worth the money. One of mine should fit so like you say I’ll just take the others back. Hope you’re healing well xx

Hi Tracey I think the Asda sports bras may come up small…
I was a 32a before and had 375 hp unders so like you I bought a 34D and 34DD, after surgery I had to send my mum out to buy me a load more as I couldn’t fit in the 34!
In the end I think I was wearing a 36D or even 36DD – so the idea that you only need to go up one back size is not always true! 🙂
Also Asda don’t do 32D or 32dd in those sports bras!
    xx

@sarah thanks for that! I’m thinking maybe I’ll take the c back and get a 36d in case. Confused! Or a 34e? How long post op are you? Do we wear these sports bras for the whole of the 6 weeks post op? I’m going through a private surgeon so have only got limited information xx

hey @tracey you seem so confused about sizes! so was I but like @sarah I just got the macom bra in the end, I was just spending to much money on random sized bras and it all came up to be more than the price of the macom bras so I just returned it all and got the proper surgical bra. but I have to say macom is actually quite supportive and easy to wear as the hooks are in the front, I would maybe try one just to be safe so at least one bra will fit you properly after surgery 🙂 when are you having yours?xx

Definitely get the 36 If you’re usually 34 babe. I have the 34 and it’s so tight I had to go to asda for a 36 coz it was digging in so much! Good luck with your op 🙂 xxx

It’s really difficult to know what size your going to measure after your op . I bought 1macom bra , two sports bras from Marks & Spencer’s 34DD and 34E . Unfortunately the 34DD was too small . I must have been lucky because I know a lot of ladies are finding it difficult to get sports bras from Asda , I purchase two sports bras 34 E ..

Hi chick, im 2 days post op- i started as a 32a/b and i had 345hp unders.. at first i had a medium macom bra on but i felt it was digging into my incisions too much so i put a 34DD asda black, pink and grey zip up sports bra on and it feels so much better!!! i also have a breast band which they gave me to wear for two weeks which is very very uncomfortable so having a bra that isnt digging into me as well is a god send!! xx

@jessica I’m in a 34d Asda sports bra and it’s really cumfy but I have a breast band on too. My boobs are sitting really high up and they’re quite sore! How are you feeling? xx

I found that after 2 weeks when you have no plasters or anything on your incisions the macom bras rub against them.
I bought a marks and spencer bra that I loveee but I did wait a few weeks PO so I didn’t spend the money on something that wouldnt fit me and i’m now 5 weeks PO and it still fits 🙂
Best thing is to not buy more until the swellings mostly gone down.

I’m currently a 34b and I’ve bought a 34 dd from Marks &Spencer and a 36 macom bra to. I’m just hoping they going to be ok. I’m not going to buy more until after my op Tuesday. It’s so confusing. But I’m sure one will fit xx

Hey don’t worry I think we’ve all had the same problem! I was measuring a 32c in boux avenue so I went and bought sports bras in 34DD, 34E and 34F from marks and Spencers. On the day of my surgery (2 days ago) none of the bras fitted at all. My partner had to go to the nearest asda and get me a 36E. The next day my mum went and swapped a couple of the bras from marks for 36dd, I kept the 34 E and 34DD for when the swelling goes down haha. It’s a nightmare!! Wish I had just bought the macrom bra xxx
