    Hi all,

Had op 2.5 weeks ago which went brilliantly! Recovery has been amazing (didn’t even have any bruising!), and splint came off at weekend. So far so good, but… as I put in the title, I’m finding that when I wake up in the morning my nose is much more swollen, then gradually becomes less swollen during the day! Doesn’t really bother me, but wondering if this has happened to anyone else, or I am just a freak?!

    Hope you’re all well! :0)

Heya. I also experienced this. If it is quite bad or is bothering you try sleeping as propped up as possible. Apparently lying flat makes the swelling worse.

Whoops! To be fair, I’m TERRIBLE at that! 😳 I always start off upright, but find myself flat out or on my side when I wake up! Might try putting some more pillows as boulders tonight to stop me from rolling over in my sleep!

Really good tip .. neck pillow . .I know the idea of it but it really works and keeps u more upright if u hav a few pillows under yr head . .also stops yr new nose falling into the pillows ,getting squashed !!. .Had 1 since the day of my op and always had good nights sleep. . xx

Mine is also more swollen in the morning (11 weeks po). But I use Sudafeed blocked nose Spray which helps a lot. A V-pillow is also a good investment!!! :-) x

Haha! That’s what I think too Nicoly! Always amazed by how much it shrinks during the day! Might try some of that sudafed blocked nose spray too Bedem, but have given up on my v-pillow. It’s still in bed, but I just keep rolling off it in my sleep!

I usually have a light sleep so I can stay on the V-pillow :-)

Yes the nose spray is the best I tried so far, and I only use it mornings and evenings… but I can see that my nose is getting smaller and smaller by the day so that keeps me motivated to use the V-pillow and sleep upright :-) x

Respect Bedem! You’ve got more self restraint and stamina than I have! Am offically rubbish! If I was minted or a celeb, I would buy one of those hospital beds just to keep me upright, lol! Really pleased your recovery is going well though! xx

    lol!

I do want my tip to get smaller quickly, it is still very swollen atm. That is the last thing to recover I guess :-(

Can’t wait to finally wear sunglasses again!!! x
