Nostrils look too open

Hi! I had an open rhinoplasty 7 weeks ago and I’m unhappy with the results, I get the odd nice photo but the majority of the time I think the nostrils look huge from the side, like gaping holes in the side of my face, I made sure to ask to avoid this before surgery cause I’ve seen it on other people post surgery and I really dislike it, they just look like I’m constantly flaring my nostrils, has anyone else experienced this? Do they settle down or will they always look this way? Is there any surgery I can have to correct it? I feel more insecure now than before surgery 🙁

Hey! Hope you are well. Did you have post-op 6 week appointment with the nurse and asked her. I think they should settle and go down.
To be honest I’m not happy with my result, I had long nose and after the operation (2,5weeks ago), my nose looks the same. My husband is watching and saying that my nose hasn’t changed. I have it’s all the swelling but I am a it sad and down. I was expecting to have smaller nose not the same. Does anyone know if it’s going to become smaller nose? Thank you
