Not happy!

God girls there really does seem to be a difference in how ppl are treated depending on what clinic they go to. I was with the Cardiff clinic and they were fab! Its a shame its not the same level across the board!!! xxx

No hun I had to have an ECG as I have a heart condition, and MRSA swabs as I work in an operating theatre. Think you only need MRSA swabbing if you have been in a hospital within the last 6 months?

these ECG AND MRSA swabs you are having do u have to do this to get a boob job??

Yes I have also had contact from my PC and a very apologetic call from a senior manager, well done MYA for listening to your customers! Just need the results of my ECG and MRSA swabs now, I was told they would be back today….had to pay

Hello there, i was on here the other day and had a bit of a rant, since then my pc has contacted me and shes been off ill and she never got my messages i left her, she totaly apologised for not getting in touch with me but as she was off ill i can understand and some one else should have contacted me. She aplogised and has been very helpful with all my questions, kinda feel a bit of a bitch for saying all those things on the forum as she wasnt even at work at the time to get back to me. Ive also had a woman called Anne on the phone to me apologising on myas behalf as i said id felt let down with the whole thing so far, she had read my comments on the forum and was asking if there was anything she could help me with and couldnt apologise more. I think the fact that my pc was on the phone straight away to me shows that they do actualy care and they are there to help. I am happy that ive got things sorted with MYA as i was generaly happy with every thing else. My pc has also arranged another consultation with my surgeon and my pre-op with the nurse and gonna pop in and see my her again, she has realy made me at ease with the whole thing, feel like i can get excited now. x x x

letter was sent today telling them how unhappy i was with the treatment at highgate, i think mya are quite a new company and i do think they try but i truly beleive that money comes above care with them and the more i think about the treatment i got from my pc is just rude i’ll let you know how i get on.

i sent an email of complaint as i was messed around a bit during my initial consultation in Newcastle. since that email i have received a call from head office, a few calls from the newcastle office and also some flowers by way of apology. i knew i wanted to go to mya as compared to the others that i saw the information provided was way above the others. now im all booked for 1 april. i am however waiting for my final price – this is the fault of head office not newcastle though – as my pc rang me to tell me she was off and had left it with someone else to chase up. my balance is due this thursday but i dont know how much im paying so im afraid they will have to wait for their money if head office can’t get their backside into gear to tell me even how much it costs!

to be fair they can wait as long as i have – 2 weeks – before i pay them the full amount! I am a businesses worst nightmare – i make complaining a work of art!!!!!!

hey girlies, i totaly agree with what a couple of you have said, i wasnt too happy with MYA to be honest, yet i went with them because i was happy with the surgeon. I got told different prices too, even after paying i got told i owed more than what i had been quoted. i also never could get through to them however many times i tried calling. And iv not really recieved much after care, no phone calls or anything, just a post op apointment which i didnt recieve any info on what i could now do or not do etc.
I cant fault the hospital, the staff were really nice at the manchester lifestyle clinic, the nurses were helpful and the room was fine, but i dont really rate MYA much, although i think the surgeon i went with is fab!! xxx

Yeah im still going to get it done im going to phone there head office tomorrow and see what they can come up with, i just realy want to get excited for mp op but feeling like im holding back because of me realy rubbish pc. This forum has been amazing though i dont know what i would have done without it. Emma j i would definitley try and get some money back as your room shouldnt be dirty and your experience sounds awful, Good luck. x

yep looks like mixed comments for newcastle but rightly or wrongly i made my judgement on the first consultation. harley st and transform also has a surgeon available on the day. my pc at transform even grabbed him as he was walking out the door carrying his case and shopping – he stayed behind to see me which i thought was great.
as you know mya is down the quayside with crap parking too and after the first visit shenanigans, I simply couldnt be arsed to trail back to see the surgeon.
Crazy cos I have no doubt that the surgeon (Mr Traynor) would have been fab – but I simply wasnt prepared to wait a week to find I had been triple booked and sat waiting for another 25 mins plus to see someone!!!

My surgeon was great i couldn’t be more happy with the results

i have to admit i was expecting excelent treatment because of the cost and was also really looking forward to the whole process but honestly i was so pleased to get out of there!

also on nhs if you have an operation u get a call when u get home to c how you r but i’ve not heard from anyone since my pre op a week before my ba

never mind all over now and i love love love my new boobs there looking better everyday

Is there anybody on here who has changed there personal co-ordinator? do they have more than one at each clinic? i am so fed up, ive texted and tried phoning my pc during normal working hours and have had no reply or response, i just think it is so rude. I havent had my op yet and this is the second time they have messed me around. When i had my first consultation they quoted me a price which changed twice after that, i can never get in touch with my pc, have been told she will phone to sort out appointments and i hear nothing, i can understand she has a heavy workload but qiete frankly im paying alot of money and for that i do want the best care, realy loosing my confidence in MYA . I realy dont want to go through anybody else because im realy happy with the surgeon im getting and everybody else on the MYA team have been fantastic. Has anybody else had any similar experiences? Any advice would be great. Thanks x

i’m shocked with the way i was just dropped by my pc but tomorrow i’m going to phone and make a complaint

Aw thanks for your comments, it was the same with me leanne when i went for my consultation with the surgeon i waited 45 minutes and then another 1 hour to be able to try some implants with my pc which i was then rushed even though i had waited 1 hour to get a 10 minute appointment, my pc was saying “sorry thats all ive got time for ive got alot more people to see, if you have any more questions pop in and see me again or give me a ring” Eh what ive tried calling her and that doesnt work and i cant just pop in, i live about 30 minutes away from newcastle and have a 5 yearold to look after i dont have time to go all the way to newcastle to sit in a waiting room all day for a ten minute appointment! Emma l could not agree with you more we ARE paying alot of money and you want to feel like you are getting the best care you can get! Which hospital did you get Emma j? I also feel like i was made a fuss of all the way up until i booked and paid a large sum off my op and now cos theyve got my money im not important anymore. Realy dont know where i stand, x x x

my pc hasn’t contacted me at all since she got the money out of me funny before then she was calling every day !

my hospital experience was rubbish room was dirty staff were rubbish so much so i checked myself out, dont get me wrong the surgeon was amazing and so was my personel nurse but the rest was just the pits,

i’m going to phone my pc tomorrow and demand my money back for the overnight stay

at the end of the day this whole thing has cost a lot of money and you should demand a good service

hmmm…you best not read my earlier posts about Newcastle mya then poppy!!
I saw harley street, then transform, then mya. service and professionalism at transform was head and shoulders above.
i also sat in waiting room at newcastle for 25 mins (after i got there on time!) and overheard the 2 girls on reception talking how they were having to double book people for the surgeon appt cos so busy…..had my initial chat with the patient coordinator…..then she proceeded to book me in on the same thursday that i had heard was being double booked to squeeze ppl in… i understand places are busy but i really should not have overheard such a convo
prob explains why I was kept waiting 25 minutes for an initial consult

Im going through the newcastle clinic, and still not heard anything from anyone as to appointments or answers to any questions ive asked. Im going to phone the clinic tomorrow and get the number for head office because its just a total joke, obviosly waiting for my pc to get back in touch with me is never going to happen. Hiya who is your PC as I’m not happy with mine either, haven’t heard from her once, I had to ring and chase up confirmation of my appointment with my surgeon myself and I rang the Holborn clinic with a query the other day, was told my PC would ring me but didn’t hear anything! Not impressed and if it wasn’t for the fact that I really want the surgeon I have chosen then I would be cancelling altogether! My friend who is also going with MYA said her PC is great, rings her all the time to see how she is feeling etc……I’m on sofem same username if you want to PM me x

You could always ring your clinic’s number to see if she’s in, maybe she’s off sick and nobody told you? My pc is lovely, I’m at the Holborn clinic and I think they have two pc’s there. Hope you get it sorted anyway hun xxx
