Not too happy :-(

When I spoke to MYA on the phone last week to book my consultation I explained my situation and my vision for the future.

I told the lady on the phone that I had not started hrt yet but was in 3 months time and she said to come in to see her and disguss my options anyay. She did say on the phone that I need to already be on hrt to have the impants which I assumed anyway but did not disclose the duration.

Got to to the clinic today after getting lost a bit, 15 mins early as told. Filled in the medical forms ect. At no stage did they ask to see my id which two different people told me to bring.

After a 3 min chat I was told they can’t do anything for me as I need to be on hrt for 2 years minimum before they can legally give me the implants.

Now If I was told this on the phone I would have made an app to see the clinic in 18mthns time while saving to pay for my opp cash and I wouldn’t have completely wasted my time, effort and day going all through brum. At no point was I told I need to be on hrt for 2 years before they even consider messuring me up, checking my body size ect.

I’m off for a pint. Danni back in the closet for a few more years.

Oh no!!! n def dont go back in the closet hunni! Mayb its a gd thing, as it gives u2 years to save, n u dont have to make yrself skint in the process. U may grow a bit of boobage on the hrt. And can I ask y u have to b on it for 2 yrs b4hand? Xxxx chin up chick. It will all work out in the end xxx

Oh poor you. That’s not good. They should have told you about the hrt. I’m sorry that you got treated this way. There is no excuse and hope you get an apology from them. Enjoy your pint chic. Chin up xx

Hormone replacement treatment chic

Its not so much of the time kerry but the fact they knew I had not started hrt yet but still asked me to come in then decided to tell me they can’t do anything yet.

I have no idea why 2 years but I suppose rules are rules hun.

On a positive note I can at least watch things change now on hrt and take it from there.

I’m just not sure if I can carry on talking on here for 2 years but I dont want to lose the friends i’ve made already.

I had absolutely no idea it was a legal requirement to have been on hrt for 2 years before a boob job. That sounds crazy to me. Do you know why? x

Danni dont go backwards darlin, you made the first move, i know it was abit of a backstep in what you wanted to hear but just think, 2 years really isnt that long. it will fly over and watching your body start to change when you take h.r.t will be amazing, dont leave this page its nice to hear how people are getting on through there journey. keep smiling oh and can i just say you are beautiful, i looked at your photos xxx

Laurakate its because they say if you change your mind during the two years on hrt about becoming female then you wont have to have the opp.

I did the research on hrt and any breast that grows naturally on hrt will remain if I stopped taking the tablets while the rest of the body will turn back male so I’d be stuck with them anyway. Who knows, I may not need implants yet as I saw some 8 month hrt figures and the boobs were impressive.

Now I’ve had time to calm down I’m even more impressed to change the outside of me.

The feeling I have is I own my mind but the law owns my body and thats wrong.

I want to thank all you lovely girls for your support. Without this forum I’d be lost. I’m just not sure if I’m in the right place now for posting pics of my changes as I go along seeing as I wont be having any opp if at all now for 2 years (no revealing pics may i add). The support is great off you guys but your all having your own changes ect and I just dont think you wanna hear my problems. I’m stuck lol. xx

Danni I’m so so sorry to hear your frustrating news. You’re going through so much and so many changes. One step at a time and you’ll be where you want to be in no time. In the meantime, padded bras helped me out for 17 years. Hopefully they’ll do the same for you xx

Ememz they check with my medical records hun as everyhting is checked and checked again to make sure my health is not suffering. I will have to have regular checks also to see if im on the right hormones as there is a group of them and not all work on all people.

Plus when your on hrt basically this is what happens. Hips rotate forward a few degrees to curve the lower back. Skin softens, non-head hair lightens, body fat is distributed exactly the same as a female (thighs, bum, hips boobs ect), hair softens, body odor changes to more sweet than masculin, nipples grow larger and darken, boobs start, skin can get a bit oily (donw side), voice can change higher but not always so voice training needs to be done (no good sounding like barry white hehe). The’d know if I lied about taking them for 2 years but it would be cool hey lol.

Is it a legal requirement to have been on her for 2 years or is it just a MYA policy? If its not legal you could always try some other companies and see what their policies are x

Well I haven’t checked myself yet emma but she did state it was the law. It must be, after all, they want my money.

I understand they cant put implants into a flat chest cause they’d just look like speed bumps lol
