now i have been offered unders im thinking of cancelling!!

hi girls i have always thought i would be offered overs as i have loads of tissue etc .. but mario said as i havent had kids etc etc he wants to do unders and if i wanted overs he wouldnt go as big as i wanted…

im really scared about unders as i hear loads of girls talking about how only one boob has dropped etc etc and there sooo high up when u first get them done.. i just wondered how long it takes for them to look good and drop etc. as i go on holiday 6 weeks after op and i dont want them to still look strange? x

It depends totally on the individual honey as to how long it will take for them to soften and drop,you wont actually know to be honest until they are in,perhaps have another meeting with your surgeon and tell him your fears.xxx

As much as I hear good things about Mario he changes his mind alot…

He mentioned to me that one of my nipples was like 0.5cm going in a different direction and I said should I worry about this and he said ‘If you was my sister id tell you not to worry’so i went away comfy and happy with going ahead.

Then my second meeting which I wanted just to confirm sizes etc as I feel my first meeting was quite short. Plus I have booked and paid for my op in April!!

he Turns around and said ‘if you was my sister i would give you a nipple lift’

Completely thrown me off! imagine I didnt book that extra meeting I would have just turned up to my op and he hadnt wrote any notes down so he said ok so we going with nipple lift I was like SINCE WHEN!!?!?!?and my pc said ‘maybe he was having an off day’ lol off day you know people like him shouldnt be having ‘off days’ went away absolutely fumin dont even know what to say really. xxxx

I just really wanted overs for the fact they heal so much quicker and u get the result you wanted more or less straight away!! i am not looking forward to waking up and not even wanting to look at my boobs x

I had partials (preferred to as unders) I’m day 26 post op and they taking a nice shape…I would say the healing process is a bit longer and maybe you don’t get the initial full shape in the beginning but I felt it was worthwhile as In the long run there is better coverage of the implant and less chance of rippling or capsular contraction.

I’ve see lovely overs and unders…I could also have overs but not go big or have partials and go bigger. My surgeon suggested partials would be best but I also wanted a more natural appearance.

My one is slightly sitting higher than the other at the moment and yes they do need to drop more but they are defs looking good( you wouldn’t notice the difference in them until I’m naked) plus they will even out and you cant notice it in clothes….

I’m happy with mine and how they changing but if you don’t feel comfotable with what you have been offered why don’t you chat to your surgeon or see another one? My surgeon was mr adamo.

I think we all different I can say from 10-14 days they started to change and look better….they were reeeally high up before that but now they dropping a little…and looking more round actually the more the days go on….

The fact is when people age your skin gets thin if it’s a bit under your muscle the visibility of it will be less in the future saying that I have family who have partials and one who has overs both look great !

A really critical person so I wouldn’t worry too much! I was in alot of pain and swelling but then a friend that had overs was in just as much pain so I think it all depends!

What sizes have you been offered?

I love my unders, even if they aren’t fully settled, they look how boobs should look, and I’d be more then happy to go around in a bikini all day long, and skimpy dresses at night

I didn’t want overs, but if that was my only option for bigger boobs, then I would have taken them

You should try see another surgeon of your not happy, or book to see him again, at the end of the day, it’s your money, and your new boobs xx

what size implant did you ask for, perhaps he thinks you havent got enough tissue to cover the implant etc and thats why he said you could have overs if you had a smaller implant, also although unders are more painful some girls dont suffer badly. I had 330 overs and was an A cup.

i am a very full 34 b/c and i have lots of breast tissue!! he has offered me 380-410 unders.. he looked shocked when i said that i wanted overs!! he said realllyy? in a voice where u think hmm ok maybe thats weird for him to hear !! … i just dont want to look at them in the mirror for 6 weeks etc thinking why did i do this xx

I’d follow the surgeon’s advice, at the end of the day you need to trust them & they know best. I’ve seen both unders & overs and they are look fab, it all depends on the individual. I’ve had overs and i’m still waiting for 1 to drop 6 weeks po so it all depends xxx

I love my partials and I wouldn’t have overs!

Overs can be just as painful!

Plus theres more chance of capsular contracture, rippling and bottoming out with overs!

U have to weigh pros and cons!

I love my overs fab round shape massive cleavage and only 2 days po also im in alot of pain with my overs and unders are ment to be alot more painful I couldnt do it ouch

I had no pain with my partials, I just had a tight chest. So it depends on the person really I know people with overs who have had a lot more pain than me x

You can still have the problems mentioned above with Unders, Anyone can get capsular contracture and rippling, you could choose the soft touch implant supposed to reduce both and bottoming out is more common with a large size implant. There are risks with both placements, but this isnt the issue, you need to ask your surgeon why they have recommended unders, and either trust them or get a second opinion.

I’m not saying u cant get it with unders I said there is more chance, which there is!

I done a lot of research and personally pleads I have unders… however they are not for everyone- and yes there are risks with both, unders do take longer to settle and drop

I have a few friends who have had implants 3 with overs and 1 with unders, the only ones who has had problems is the one with unders she had capsular contracture and the implant wouldnt drop into the pocket, she had them redone with a smaller implant. I think there is often alot more to it than under/over such as implant size etc. I agree with you there are pro’s and con’s to both.

Sometimes the decision is taken away from you because you can only have unders or overs etc, when u have to decide it obviously makes it more difficult. The surgeon usually knows best.

Hey I had partials 10 weeks ago I have a love hate relationship going on with them at the moment Mr F decide on these as I had little tissue I sort of like them today lool. Bex11 omg hope iu get it sorted what ure having I work in a secondary sch and can’t have off days his a bloody surgeon with peoples lives in his hands x x

everyone is different hun, I had unders and from day3 my boobs have been so symmetrical and even I can’t believe it, so each person is different I would cancel if this is something you really want as you cant guess your own personal outcome until u actually have had it done no matter how much u compare other peoples reactions ad advise xxx

he probably offered you smaller implant in overs because apparently overs are bigger from the beginning whereas partials I suppose if you have a bigger implant they might not appear as big as you have part muscle covering it….I dont know.

My 340cc xhp soft touch feel really big somedays and others they feel small. Im only a size 6 though. My boyfriend hasnt seen me in 4 days and lastnight he said to me, everytime i See you , your boobs are a different shape lol so they defs changing alot .

goodluck, in the end you should go with your gut feeling, like me I couldve just had 310cc but I told my surgeon I would really like the bigger if its possible. iM so glad I did, If I didnt make this quite clear I might not have got what I really wanted.
