Hey, so i’ve just had the awful experience of removing my steri strips exactly like the nurse said, water no soap etc…. but now what? can i wash my inscisions with water to remove dry blood? or do i just leave them? Im really worried now i’ve taken them off not sure what i can do now? xx
It probably depends how far you are? I was told to remove mine at 18days post op and i was allowed to shower them but no soap directly on them or touching them until 6weeks, just to wash tops of my boobs and let water trickle down. I had an uplift tho so prob much sooner for straight forward implant girls. xx
Aw thanks, i think im 10 days maybe 11 lol, i’l just leave them for now then xx
Heeey, u just shower as normal but do not rub soap or anything into boobs or sacrs. My nurses exact words ” just let the water trickle down ur boobs”… There shouldnt be any blood on hun as the nurse cleans u at ur post op check!! Dont.worry bout that. Im pleased i have mine.in.till see nurse again monday i couldnt removed them id be ill lol xx
it was awful my fella offered to do it an i was like “dont be daft” so im sat there on toilet seat absolutley fine then when i took first one off completley everything went black, so i shouted him and he did the other and had to lie me down cos i was seriously gunna pass out, i’ve never ever passed out before i dunno even why this was so bad lol. i read your post which made me giggle xx
I would pass out too!! I dont like the idea of it! U know when the nurse squeezes ur scars to see.if they open like a.fushes.mouth?? My mam went all dizzy lol!! Even though mine didnt open!! Whats ya scars like hun x
Fotgot to say u can only use non purfumed soap hun xx
my scars are fine, nurse said they were really good for 7 days. What do you mean non perfumed soap, just on my incisions or all over? xx
I’ve been advised to use unperformed soap afterwards as well, was told maybe use the dettol soap to just be on the safe side, I’ll be walking around smelling like a fricking hospital hahaha xx
Ive got simple soap. Its unpurfumed. Yhe all over hun ots incase it goes on ya wounds xx
