I know that permanent numbness could be a consequence of having a BA, but could someone please reassure me that they had the feeling come back?!? It’s very odd, one nipple is fine but I can’t feel the other one…

I’m 1 week post op and still haven’t got any feeling underneath my breasts and with my right nipple. It’s early days yet and I’m not too worried at the moment xxx

    Hey

I am nearly 6 weeks PO and dont have feeling under both breasts – but apparently this is normal and may take up to 12 months to recover as it is the nerves that they cut through.

I have proper sensitive nipples though… not sure which is worse…. no sensation or tooooooo much :) Pretty embarrassing at times :)

    lol

I am 10 days PO today and told my mum my boobs felt wierd this evening, realised it was because i was finally starting to get the feeling back!! The left has been the worst and the nipple is still basically numb but the rest of the breast is much better except underneath where both are still numb. On day one all of my left was numb and three quarters of my right.

Can feel that the nipple is starting to get sensation so hopefully will start to come back properly over the next week or so x

Thanks girls, that makes me feel much better! I’m only 9 days post op and I’ve still got lots of healing to do. I just needed reassurance I wasn’t alone and that it will hopefully come back… Xxx
