Hi girls, I had my BA on Tuesday (26th March) at Highgate hospital, 375cc extra high profiles overs.. My nipples still feel quite numb. I am worried that I have lost my nipple sensation permanentley! Has this happened to anyone else? Is it only temporary? Thanks xxx
I’m 17 days post op and the underside of my breasts are completely numb and my nipples have been mostly numb for the past 2 weeks but I am gaining some sensation back in them slowly… I’m hoping the underneath numbness comes back soon….it freaks me out!!
The worst thing for me…is nipples not reacting to the cold! I hate it! I hope that comes back soon!!!
Oh no! It is quite worrying isnt it! What has the nurse/surgeon said on your post op? X
im 4 days po also hun! one side is completely numb and the other i can only feel my nipple (slightly) i can feel lots of tiny shootin pains in my boobs though which are apparently your little nerve endings mending themselves back together!! i wouldnt worry too much xx
I keep getting weird sensations, sometimes I can’t feel them, sometimes their over sensitive….don’t get it, but think its all part of healing. Don’t worry about lost of sensation until they are fully healed xx
You’re only a few days PO so don’t stress xx
Thanks for your help ladies. I think I am starting to get a tiny bit of sensation back. I hope it does return at some point! I cant help thinking this would be a good time to get a nipple piercing haha. Thanks again girls xx
Just thought I’d maybe give you some hope, I had a full lift on my left with aeriola reduction & the feeling in my nipple same back quite quickly but my right only had a nipple lift with aeriola reduction & it hadn’t come back until last week when I was 9 weeks post op very happy with this, now everyday I seem to get more & more feeling back in my boobs
you’ll get there hun it’s all a part of recovery just try not to let it worry you or get back xx
I have feeling in one but not the other!! Apparently all normal and can take up to 6 months to come back so don’t stress too much, just let your body heal! I get little changes each day and am nearly three weeks po!! Xx
Hey hun im just over 3 month po and my left nipple is still completely numb and my right is really sensitive its really annoyin i hope they get normal soon anyone else similar?? Xxx
Hey Chelsea, I’m the same – 2.5 months PO and my right is completely numb, and my left is sensitive! Plus underside of both still numb in places. Hope it gets better x
Mine were totally numb but just been to get my stitches out literally half an hour ago – right side was fine then on my left I was like OWWW!!! But then I was like oh hello that means I’ve got my feeling back in that one!! My friend who had hers done 6 years ago said her feeling took a whole year to come back….so don’t worry chick everyone is different! 1 year seems like forever but it’s not!xx
I’m 6 months p.o and both mine are still numb apart from very too of chest but actual boobs all numb! Strangely my nipples have slight sensation.. I don’t know if it’s actual numb or if we just arnt used to having big boobs my surgeon said u may not get the exact feeling of havin feelin like with little boobs there’s more nerves in a small space but with big boobs apparently even natural girls don’t have full sensation but I guess it’s not strange for them .. Il never know the difference haha I don’t mind as long as I have parts that I can feel
Im hoping i get used to bigger boobies as I keep forgetting they are slightly bigger and walking into things/bumping them – no spacial awareness these days ha ha. Good job they are a little numb in this case xxx
Hahahaha, I shouldnt laugh Misfion but this will soo be me too!
Im dreading losing feeling in my nipples are without being crude its a very important feeling in my bedroom life! As im having a nipple lift and resizing my areola’s im more likely to lose feeling and sensation than just a normal BA xxx
