Numbness and sore incisions! :-/

Hello all.

I’m 3 days PO and wondering whether anyone else had really sore spots where the incisions are? It hurts where my sports bra is resting!

Also, the majority of my boobs are slightly numb, between the nipple and incisions. Anyone else had this & how long will It take to get any feeling back?

Also feeling pretty queasy and crap today, I don’t think the pain killers agree with me much.

Maybe you need to get a bra that comes lower down, it shouldnt rest on your insicians. Numbness is normal, took about 4 weeks for nipple sensitivity to come back and the bottom half bellow nipple and above insicians have only just come back properly at 2months an 2 weeks po. im not numb anymore but cant feel as much as i could before my op x

Can take up to 6-12mnths to get feeling bk huni.. N u need a bra like a Macom as it comes lowers so doesn’t rub on incisions x

Hi lianne, what you are experiencing is totally normal, I had the same.

I kept the sports bra off once it had calmed down and purchased a bigger size so it came further down. Might be worth doing

Thanks girls. Glad it’s not just me. The bra I have comes down atleast 2 inches below the scars anyway so I don’t think it’s that.

I hope the feeling comes back soonish. Its really weird!

Anyone else had air trapped too?

Mr Adamo did mention this could happen & it’s nothing to worry about but they are making strange noises & feels like i can feel bubbles moving on the inside! Haha. Very strange!

Yeah had the trapped air, i think the majority of girls have it. Boobie farts! lol mine went away at 2 weeks x

i experiencing the Boobie farts at the mo 6 days post op, gurgling noises & vibrating Boobies lol. how very sexy i feel at the mo. But once they settle down it will be so worth it

lianne my boobs are sore today and under my armpit is the worst, i think its the nurve endings mending themselves, im sure its nothing to worry about. but just make sure you keep the area clean xx

Going to have my dressings removed on Thursday too so will ask if there’s anything I can do to help it then!

I haven’t had any pain around my armpits yet, fingers crossed!

I got a couple of sports bras from m&s that have been fantastic, lightweight & comfy, definitely reccomend!

primark have good sports bras as well, very cheap too! i bought a new one for bed x

As comfy as they are, I can’t wait to get out of the sports bras & go shopping for some proper underwear! Haha!

if u think about what was done 3 days ago how can u expect it not to be sore hun lol, have u got a macom, that helped me a lot, it still felt abit uncomfy tho

the painkillers made me feel like SHIT, half hour after taking one i felt worse than i did before, drowsy, emotional etc, so i took normal painkillers and nurofen instead lol!

the numbness can come back anytime up to a year, they say if its not back after that then it won’t come back, I’m 6 months post op and underneath my boobs is still numb, 1 of my nipples was but has got loads better so there is hope xx
