Numbness in tongue

Hi girls,

I’m looking for reassurance and wondering if anyone has experience anything similar to me as it’s beginning to worry me now.

I had my surgery on Saturday (22nd June) and since waking up from surgery the right side of my tongue has been numb.

The feeling still hasn’t gone away:(

Has anyone else had this after their surgery?

Also if you don’t mind me asking, what procedure did you have done?!
I had revision surgery from previous BA with MYA so had done on the 22nd was reaugmentation new implants, uplift and CC removal of both boobs!
Don’t know about you but it’s been a week now and feel the worse ever today!

Aww bless you having to go through that again. Did you have capsular contracture?

I had an uplift with implants and nipple reduction so my surgery was a bit longer like yours.

My tongue is still the same but they’ve told me that it’s probably nerve damage from the tube they put in my mouth. It’ll sort itself out but could take a few weeks apparently?

Yeah I feel the same so don’t worry. The heat yesterday was killing me, felt like my implants were melting on the inside?Also, my right side is quite a bit more swollen than my left so hope this goes down xx

Yes I did!.. well I thought I just had grade 3 in my right side hence my surgery but Dr Giannas actually found it mild in my left too so he removed it all!!!

I had a nipple reduction too! I love how they are now!! ?

Oh really?! I’ve noticed today my skin on left top of arm where my arm pit is, is a little numb and weird sensation to it but must be a similar thing like your tongue! Lol

It’s my left that’s my sore one and more swollen.

Have you got a pic of what yours look like now if you don’t mind posting? X

That’s the same as me, I meant to say it’s my left side that’s more swollen but for some reason ended up typing my right side haha.

Yeah this is mine now. I think it’s been my worst day so far, they feel so sore, tight and hard. I’m just hoping that’s normal though :/ x

Yours look great and don’t looks to sore on the outside but it’s the inside that hurts! Lol
When do you have your dressing off? As I had mine already taken off and just have steri strips on until Monday then they come off!

Thanks, your’s look great too. I would have liked to have gone bigger like yours but I couldn’t?

I’m hoping the dressings will be off this Friday at my next appointment?x

Hi lovelies, I’m 5 weeks post op going from 34b with 400cc implants really worried about capsular contracture, how did you know you had it? And did you have the implants replaced or just removed with an uplift?
Also was the uplift more painful than the implants?
Sorry for all the questions but I’m hating how alien/ gross the implants are making me feel and I just want them out. Wish I just had an uplift.

Just over time my right boob just went really hard like if I just my operation but obviously not. And then it started to hurt so like I could sleep on that side. You never never by looking @ it in a bra but once I took my bra off, it was obvious!
Not everyone gets it though! So don’t be worried!… apparently it’s just something that happens as it’s a foreign body inside your body that isn’t normally there!
Now I have had it once, I am now a higher risk of getting it again. So 30% more of a case then of someone who hasn’t never had it!
(So I can get it again! Hopefully not as Dr Giannas said he removed it all!)

Yes I had the old implants replaced and had new and the same cc in so 450’s!
(But you can have bigger or smaller if wanted!)

Mmmm honestly this time round I don’t think I’ve hurt as much but I think that’s because my skin is already stretched from before! My nipples etc don’t hurt or do the incisions where it’s been cut! As I had lollipop incisions as Dr Giannas said he didn’t need to use my previous scars from b4!

I’m having my steri strips removed Monday so I’ll post a pic of what my boobs look like after that are removed so you can see how it is.

Nearly 2weeks for me now since having my op and they are looking good ? x
