Hi girls,
Had my surgery on Friday with Mr Singh – 380cc unders from 34a/aa cup. Since I got home I have been so ill! My stomach was like a balloon day 2 post op, causing me a lot of pain I didn’t know what to do with myself couldn’t stand/sit/talk – had to call nurse who suggested to change to just paracetamol and taking senakot. Had this bloated tummy all yesterday then my boobs swell up huge so I can barely put my arms down! They feel so heavy and massive, don’t think the paracetamol is strong enough. I’ve been awake all night and feel awful keeping my partner up too. I feel like this pain is not worth it!!! I had imagined I would be able to go back to work by week 2 but can’t see it right now!
Please someone tell me this goes soon!!
xxx
It does get better, honestly it will be worth it,dose’nt feel like it right now because you are feeling so uncomfortable, get the first week out of the way,and get plenty of rest and you will see a difference, dose’nt help when the tummy is painful too,big hugs honey,pm me if you want a chat, xxx
Thanks Tina. My pm doesn’t work for some reason! None of the nurses prepare you for feeling this rubbish! Just waiting for the days to pass..! Hate the feeling like I regret having the surgery xx
Hi there it will xxx .it’s hard to remember but you have had an op …and your body is flooded with all kinds of drugs …we do tend to forget this as we have chosen to go under the knife …..my stomach was like a washing machine for a couple of day …it kept churning away and was so loud !! ….drink plenty of water and try a bottle of sports drink as this has mineral salts in which we loose ..it gives you that hungover feeling ….hang on in there ..it is width it ….xxxx
hiya. i also had my op on friday and really not doing so well. i’ve been in a lot more pain and discomfort than i had hoped but i know it’ll all be worth it. i had 460 unders with mr kazzazi. he’s taped me up so tight i can barely move. especially on my left side which had drained quite a bit of blood post op, so im guessing that’s why it’s more painful. they had to keep me in a bit longer on sat to make sure i was ok and mr k gave me the all clear. i was still only given cocodomol and diclofenac which wasn’t anywhere near enough pain relief for my first 24 hours at home. i’d had tramadol and morphine at the hospital.
i look about 6 months pregnant- the bloating is ridiculous! i’ve been taking charcoal tablets and fibogel drinks but they havent really worked as yet. The most frustrating pain for me is me backside in bed. i think i need a rubber ring or something cos ive got about 10 pillows but none of them are cutting the mustard.
good news is though that i am improving very slightly so by the end of the week i think i’ll be grand! tape off on thurs then i can check these bad boys out and see what all the pain’s been for!
hope you start feeling better soon xxx
I’m also taped up so tight I can barely move! It’s rubbish. I have tried sleeping sitting up but I end up slipping down onto my back, it’s not normal! Can’t wait to get the bloody tape off – got to wait until a week today, noooooooooo!! xxx
are you wearing a sports bra over the tape? mr k said i can do but it’s been too sore for me to get on
xx
Hey girls I was in Friday too! Have had about 5 hours sleep all weekend but I am now starting to feel a bit better and I think the seeking is going down!! I have been sick all weekend too but I’m going to go for a stroll today as I am feeling much better!! Belly looks disgusting too but have had we omit which works xx
sorry to hear you girls are suffering
do you think its because they are under the muscle? i had 300 overs last week and had no pain (washing my own hair and hoovering on day 3) also i just had a bandage around me for 1 day only then just my bra so wasn’t really tight. are you allowed to take tape off and just wear a good support sports/post op bra? i had mr c and they deffinately seem to have different proceedures. i hope your pain eases soon! xx
oh also i have a v pillow for sleeping and it is brilliant!!! £8.99 argos
xx
It defo gets better babe. In week one I couldn’t do anything for myself, mum had to get me out of bed etc. But by say day 6ish I felt a lot more mobile. Felt fine day 7 except an aching back (but that’s frm the tight bra strap and sleeping position). Managed to go back to work day 14 and took it easy. I had 410cc high profile unders. U’ll start to feel better soon chick xx
Had Mr C for uplift and implant and same as Natalie just had bandage on for the first night then just my MaCom bra over the dressings. Never had any pain BUT stomach was bloated for well over a week. I moved to ibuprofen instead of the painkillers I was prescribed as they have anti-inflammatory properties. Took me days to go to the toilet and was “difficult” for about 2 weeks. It’s the effects of the anaesthetic.
Are you still taking painkillers? I felt so much better when I stopped. The only complaints I have are the tightness, although it gets better after putting bio oil on. That and my throat, it is killing me and I have a horrible taste in my mouth.
I slept on the sofa last night so my bum isn’t too sore today, my neck hurts though xx
Get v pillow and place it in top of about 3 others so it’s like a ski slope. The bottom pillow can support your lower back.
Girls you are not alone. I’m three weeks p o. My suffering is more emotionally now! Please don’t be hard on yourselves! It’s a huge op and rather traumatic. I hadn’t prepared mentally for the pain in the first week and then the shock of seeing the scars. There are some incredible people on here who will help you thru. Spongebob, sammy29, tina2011, laracroft….. The list goes on! I have some beautiful messages in my inbox from kind caring ppl. I keep thinking I’ll be strong like them one day!!!!
I haven’t had any sleep despite havin pillows and Vpillow. So swollen. Been on the loo all day from taking Senakot yesterday. So weak. Wish I could go back to how I was – this is not worth it

Oh mememe it will be worth it. You poor thing!
Check your eyes and make sure they are not White under the lower lid. You may be anemic (is that how you spell it). Make sure your getting enough fluids and iron. And on a big plus note CHOCOLATE is one of the best foods to replenish iron!!!
I agree about the sleep. No matter how many pillows and v pillows I just could not sleep because I cd not get comfy! I understand totally and wondered what on earth possessed me to put myself thru this! Just listen to the other girls not me – im going thru a difficult phase- but realise you’re not on your own. You’re really not!!!!! This site is a actually fantastic. Hold on to the strong decent lovely girls they will carry you thru this
Ahh hope you ladies are feeling abit better this afternoon
I had my op fri & am in a bit of pain, mainly in my incisions, but apart from that & the heaviness I don’t feel too bad. Maybe because I had overs?
I don’t know about you but the tape is driving me mad, I just want to itch between my boobs constantly, it’s soo irritating & tight!! Can’t wait til saturday to have it all taken off. I also keep thinking if I get hot & sweaty it will make all my incisions damp & get infected
Mememe, please don’t get too fed up, i’m sure the pain will pass soon & you will forget all about it & enjoy your new boobies!! *hugs* xx
Oh my goodness girls I hope u all recover soon, I’m having unders with dr singh next friday and dreading it
xxxx
Awww girls I’m 3 weeks po with 410 unders …. I can’t really comment on the pain as I didn’t have any… I did take my painkillers like clockwork mind and I took senakot from day 3 it worked a treat …. I feel totally human this week … I went back to work after a week so I promise you will start feeling better soon … Try sitting on the sofa with your v pillow and put a hot water bottle in-between your shoulder blades I found this totally relaxed me xx and I didn’t sleep bolt upright I slept on an incline it’s Just to reduce the swelling so if you have more swelling be more upright and if not sleep a little lower xx
