Off on holiday 12 weeks post op.

Having my op in April then am flying to Greece in July. 12 weeks is quite a long time but I’m still a bit of a worrier when it comes to these things!

Are they going to be okay by then? Will I be okay in the sun and on the beach and in the clubs?

I’m going away for six weeks so I don’t want them to not be fully ready or be in too much pain.

Anyone else been on holiday shortly after their op? Thanks girls xx.

you should be fine hun, i’m one week post op and feeling fine onlya few small twinges here and there. I’m sure it said flying was fine after 6 weeks. Do take care in the sun though X

hi hunni, from what i’ve read (i have’nt had my BA yet) i think you’ll be FINE the pain and tightness should have gone by then 12 weeks is quite a long time. just make sure you take care of them post op. use biooil on the skin and keep them supported..also taking arnica pre and post op really helps the healing process. it’s a homeopathic remedy availible from places like holland and barrets for like £6-8 and some surgeons strongly recommend it. hope that helps! xx

First of all…. get you lady; going on holiday for 6 weeks!! lol How very nice too!

Secondly, yes the information sheet they give you says you can fly short haul after 2 weeks and long haul after 6 weeks so you will be fine.

The only thing you have to bear in mind is any ‘complication’ time…. hopefully you wont experience any (but you have to keep these things in the back of your mind!).

I know I can fly after 4 weeks, I just hope they’re all good by then! I’m going to take very special care of them post-op so hopefully there won’t be any complications or problems.

I timed it so I’d have my new boobies for the summer hehe.

Arnica? Never heard of that before, what does it do?

hi aoifex, i flew to New York for a holiday at 10 weeks post op, and i felt great! Boobies felt nice and settled, and i was use to wearing underwire bras by then (they take a bit of getting use to again!!!!)

Arnica is taken to help with any bruising, you take it for about a week before your op and about 2 weeks afterwards. Just google it hunni, i got mine from Tesco’s! There are different strengths, can’t remember which one i took now, but will look it up. Just check with your pc and surgeon that they are happy for you to take it. xx
