I am a secondary school teacher. I had an interview recently but not sure what you’d expect in an interview for a primary school other than the fact I know you will have to tEach the class in front of at least one teacher but maybe several teachers/ governors. They then get together to decide amongst them. Sometimes in small primary schools they let the children have a say in the decision making process.

Sorry! I just re read that. I’m on an iphone and the writing is tiny. I’ve just realised you meant an interview to teacher training college. Sorry im an idiot. Again to answer that I can only reflect on my own experience which was to enter secondary school teaching. I had two interviews with two really cool men who were not too scary just asked a lot about what I knew about young people. This was a long time ago when the country was desperate for English teachers so I suppose my interview was easier than it may be today. Dong be put off tho because the Market is competitive. They will ALWAys need teachers. Do Research on the keystages. Be yourself. Use anecdotes. Be confident and make sure you stand out from others. My daughter is in year 4 and she LOVES her teacher and will do anything for her. I think the mark of a good teacher is the teacher that spurs individuals on thru encouragement and confidence building
