Off Topic But Need Info…

Hey girls, I know this is off topic, but I didn’t know who else to ask.

Has anyone had or thought about having Invisible Braces?

My teeth aren’t really crooked or anything, but the two teeth on either side of my two front teeth are slightly further back than the others and it really affects my confidence as when I smile I tend to put my hands over my mouth as not to show my teeth.

They are nice and white as I really take care of my teeth, I was offered braces when I was about 12 years old, but I turned them down as I saw what metal braces can do to your gums and lips etc… a bit of an over reaction and I really regret it now, but now being 20 I really don’t want to have metal braces for two years!

I have heard about invisible braces, but I don’t know anyone who has had them or has even considered them!!

Can anyone provide me with any info… price etc?

Hey Kaytee, I had Invisalign braces – started them two years ago and finished my treatment in Dec 09…best money I ever spent on myself (apart from my upcoming ba!!) Like you, I would always be conscious of my teeth when i smiled and when having piccies taken. Ive got some before and after pics if you want to see…pm me your email address hun or post it here.

I was told to have braces at 12yrs, no way I said!!!! Only to seriously regret it and have to pay to put them right at 30!!

I paid £2495 which included whitening after treatment. There is a fab forum like this one, which I can recommend too if your interested xx

I think I will have to wait until after my ba to have my teeth done as I can’t afford that at the moment! Lol.. where abouts did you have it done? I have a check up with my dentist soon and I don’t know whether to ask him about them? Or would I have to go to a cosmetic dentistry place?

Lucky that my dentist also did cosmetic work too (Mr Shergill in Coventry) but ask your normal dentist and see if they can recommend someone. It’s worth shopping around though, there was stiff competition for prices two years ago, so probably bit cheaper now. Get someone who has done a number of cases before and that can show you before/afters.xx
