Oh ladies highgate by 9am and over night stay!

I had my admission time today for Tuesday & I’m shocked how early I gotta b at highgate as I’m over night stay!!! 9am!!!! This means I will have to leave home at 5am for train at 5.10am. Grrrrrr I prob b waiting around in hospital for ages & I’m all alone!! . I’m so nervous about being alone & just got butterflies in tummy all the time!!!

Any last min advice would b greatly appreciated!! Do highgate have wifi??

I think they may have you down as a day case in error??

When you are an overnight stay the earliest they admit you normally is between 11am – 4pm. Normally around 1pm.

I was a day case and I didnt get my admission time until 11am!!

I would def check honey – because you may need to get a local hotel if you are only a day case

I thought that but I have paid for over-night stay! I will have to wait until Monday now so it’s leaving it very late!! How r u recovering???

No dont leave it – contact (ring or texgt) your co-ordinator. They are at hand all the time and will be very good

I am recovering very well thanks honey. I have my 6 week check on Friday and cannot wait – get to go and buy some nice BIG bra’s! lol

hiya i had my op on the 17th jan i was a overnight stay at highgate and my admission time was 8am so this is probably right, i had some paperwork to fill in then was shown to my room saw the nurse, anethatist [spelling lol] then my surgeon went down to theatre at 12 so i wouldnt worry there is a tv in the room and take a book to read you will be fine good luck.

thats ok babe i would say its right let me know how you get on, there was another girl there at the same time as me and also 1 having a daycase she didnt leave till after 10pm rather her than me so glad i stayed the night all i wanted to do was sleep lol

oh i forgot to say put the phone number for the hospital in your phone we got stuck in a traffic jam and were late was a nightmare trying to find the number while on the M25 had to ring my daughter to google it as i had put the number in my bag in the boot of the car and couldnt get it out lol

Yes I’m glad I’m staying!! I was just under the impression that as I was over night stay I would b one of the last to b seen…maybe being there by 9am means I will b seen one of the first??? Did u sleep a lot after surgery?? What cc did u have and what dr??

Yes got number stored! I’m going up on train at 5.10am & I’m on my own! Lol

I had Mr Falladah and had 300cc high profile unders, my friend came with me and i was out of it after surgery went down at 12 and cant really remember much about the afternoon slept most of it i did have tea and toast about 3pm then slept again and woke for dinner about 7 i did have a sleeping tablet about 10.30pm as i think the noise and nurse keep comming in kept me awake, you will be fine on your own the nurses there are really nice keep comming and checking you are ok. who are you having and what cc’s.
