Hm revenue and customs are trying to put up tax for cosmetic surgery particularly boob jobs meaning we would have to pay 1000 more for a ba!!! It’s expensive enough as it is!! Glad I’ve paid for mine already!! Would post the link but I’m on my phone!

That George Osbourne is an ugly too. He’s probably only done this cos he’s pissy at all the woman (cosmetically enhanced or otherwise) that have turned him down. Rant over.

As much as this annoys me I think we all need to remember with all the cuts that are happening in the uk this is a tiny issue. At the end of the day we choose to have cosmetic surgery, and e eryone is currently loosing out in some way, jobs, benefits, housing, wage etc.

I understand more than anyone the psychological reasons to having cosmetic surgery and hate that when people find out I have had a boob job they laugh and expect me to be some bimbo wanting to become a footballers wife or something. But unfortunately there are worse things going on. I just think myself lucky that I have been able to just about afford a ba to feel better about myself.

Hush that’s exactly what my boyfriend said!!! It will become more appealing to pay 2 grand or whatever it is abroad and end up having a botched job! I don’t agree with the new taxing at all it’s not as if we are expecting the tax payer to pay for our boobies! We are funding it ourselves! Well only Time will tell on this one x

I would think that if you’ve already been quoted a figure by your patient co-ordinator and have received a letter saying you must pay that amount by a particular date, then they cannot make that figure any higher suddenly, as it’s already been agreed by you and MYA.

Also both MYA and we (patients) put our signatures at the bottom of a contract confirming the agreed payment amount, so I highly doubt they’d ask anyone to pay an extra thousand pounds all of a sudden if they’ve already agreed to a sum of money with you.

After all, as a company I’m sure they understand that a lot of us have been saving specifically for this for a while, and cannot just russle up an extra £1000 whenever we want!

think this is NOT a good idea at all, there are many people including myself who have gone through hell for years hating the way they looked not been able to have a normal happy relationship with a partner, even been so down that they cant do “normal” activities such as swimming as their appearance botheres them so much! i myself had counselling, was offered to see a psycologist…but would have to wait 1 year to even speak to them!! i have finally managed to have my operation and after all those years of unhappiness i can finally enjoy the life i wanted! its hard enough as it is having to wait to save up for surgery for us that needed it for psycological reasons so putting more tax on this will not help those people at all.

maybe they should think more about adding tax onto things like cigerettes and alchol of which the health effects cost the NHS billions of pounds each year. Or, stop taking so much from the hard working… but, for our WEAK government, it’s much easier to sting the innocent.
