ok getting really put off with mya re thinking chosing them

I have not had a great experience so far….. my first consultation was really rushed and unprofessional. My pc hasnt really been in any contact with me at all and after reading the posts on here about the after care people have received, problems people are having after surgery really makes me nervous i am considering going to see the surgeon my mum had who has won Leading Plastic Surgeon’ and ‘Leading Breast Surgeon

If you feel like this now, I would definately go and see another company. My first consultation was extremely rushed and i too had doubts – I chose to ignore my doubts and went ahead with MYA. 5 months later and Im not happy with my results either. So I would really take your time and do your research until you feel happy. It is a HUGE decision and 1 that shouldn’t be taken lightly. Good Luck x

you should deffo be fully settled with your surgeon and the whole company before you hand so much money over, and if your having a crappy time now, it can only get worse really! MYA will deffo be moving forward with the amount of feedback off here recently, but how long that takes is beyond me!

some girls have all the luck with MYA, others just have horrid times, i think its pick of the draw really xx

I agree with joanna. Some girls have had great experiences and others awful. I think it is entirely down to which clinic you go to and who your PC is. If your PC is not getting back to you atm then I would request a new PC hun x

Im not supposed to talk about it on here, I always get a phone call from MYA telling me off! But basically my PC didn’t listen to me and didn’t turn up for a few of my appointments… Live 300 miles from clinic so wasn’t easy to rearrange. I chose my ‘implant’ blind and Im just not happy with my result at all. Got a second opinion from Transform who said as my boobs are quite wide I should’ve been advised to get extra high profile and a much bigger implant. I just wasn’t treated well by my pc or clinic and wasn’t advised properly. Im now saving up for a re-op.

All I would advise you is to chose carefully and make sure you feel confident in the people you are dealing with (which is doesn’t sound like you are) x

if you are not happy hun you should try a few different companies.

Tracy – i have wide breasts and was told i need low profile to fill them out. high profiles would look like a sock in ball so extra high would look terrible on me!! xx

Im feeling a bit on the edge now…after having appointments changed, and dates changed, and now been told i HAVE to have an overnight stay, and pay the 400 extra, even though i live 30 mins away, and want to be in my own bed. even requested not too and was told its a day case!! think the only thing keeping me here is the good things ive heard about Mario Russo! Really torn xxx

Really Kat – wow thats strange! Well atm I have high profile and my boobs just look wide and flat! Which is why Transform told me I should’ve had extra high for the extra projection or something. It’s all so confusing isnt it! x

Mya have been fab with me so far but my op is on thurs and i havent got an admission time yet so i worrying a bit now, hopefully ill get it tomorrow xx

Parisxx contact your pc and ask why the overnight stay is imperative,if you are having an uplift I would recommend it,but if not ask why they want you to stay over when you are such a short distance away.xxx

I agree with the girls Lisa, if your not happy with the service so far then explore other companies. See how you feel when seeing them.

Tracy: haven’t seen you on here for a while. Are you ok? I take it your still not liking your boobs. Have you been to see your surgeon again?

Paris: if your having unders/partials they prefer you to stay overnight but if there’s a hotel near by theyre normally ok with you staying there. It’s just incase any problems arise, they like you to be as close to the hospital as possible. If your having overs though I’ve never heard of anyone having to pay for an overnight stay. X

i’ve been a bit put off too since my consultation with a pc (no complaints, she was helpful) they HAVE NOT stopped calling me. sometimes 4 times a day, and its always while i’m at work.

Hi Lisa I’m having the same problem!!!! Had my first consultation wiv my pc last Monday at Manchester and went to c my surgeon on Friday. My pc wasn’t there and they said she would ring me today to give me my surgery date and she hasn’t!!!! I rung her this afternoon and she said she would ring me at the end of the day because she was waiting for head office to get back to herand surprise surprise she hasn’t got back to me!!!! X

I got told the same about low profiles, if your wider to go with them. Xxx

you do whatever you feel is good for you hun , im 1 day p.o with mya and am really happy with the way iv been looked after , all i can say is that these problems will happen with any company im sure , its just that its easier for us all to talk about here as mya have this service which leaves them open to the criticm …i went with mya speciafically for the surgeon i chose which was mr traynor .. at the end of the day when the whole process is finished .. you will have the boobs that the SURGEON gave you ..and they will be with you everyday when the unanswered calls etc are no longer a problem .. mya do have some of the best surgeons in the country so bear that in mind hun when you make your choice , hope this helps x
