Omfg! Neurosurgery 5 weeks after revision ba :( :(

Are girls I know I’m off topic here but this morning I received my op date for my back.. 🙁 I need two possibly three discs removed.. I will be 4 weeks 6 days post op from my ba on the date of surgery for my back! What do I do?? My partner has Realli struggled running the house, business and seeing to 4 kids… I feel awful if I go in for my back done as it’s more pressure for my oh… Why is life hard at times with decision making… 🙁 🙁 my mum who lives 200 miles away said if I can get my back done in August she will watch my kiddies at hers for two weeks to allow me to recover.. Fingers crossed if this is gunna be possible.. I’m going to ring the hospital first thing Monday. Sorry for the whinge but I needed to vent me self x

Aww hun lets hope they can fit you in August then! What a star your fella has been, mine has been like that an absolute god send! So I would be like oh no I do not want to ask for more help, but… your back sounds important hun and I am sure he will understand that. Have you had a word with him? I hope you manage to get it sorted whatever you decide to do! No life can be tough can’t it, but it is only because we care my lovely xxx

Hi Claire. Well if it’s your back you should get it sorted. It’s so hard a times juggling work,home and life. If you have the support from your mum….I’d take it! We are lucky we have good men, mines been brilliant too. Good luck and let us know how you get on. Xx

does it mean u will be in pain till August? but it would help a lot if your kids are at your mums. I wish I could send mine 2 year old daughter to my mum. im 1 wk post op and my husband help for 4 days and thats it. I just had to cook dinner, the house is a mess, but I cannot wash up yet. I want to make sure I heal properly. let us know what hospital says on Monday x

I’m always in pain with my back, I have two bulging discs that seem to think it’s okay to chill on my sciatic nerve.. I don’t think I could cope with back surgery right now.. The recovery is so long (no driving for 8 weeks) we are going on holiday in 14 weeks for two weeks with all 7 of our children.. I’ve no option but to wait.. My mum can’t come here to mine to watch them.. I just hope they can do it the first week of August… That way mum will have them for two weeks, then by that point I’d hopefully be getting about more etc…

Aww i really feel for you claire. Hopefully you can have it august then. Wow 7 children, i thought my life was hectic working fulltime with two kids. Let me know how you get on. Xx

Well girls… I’ve spoke to dr surash my lovely neurosurgeon and he has agreed to do my op in the start of the school 6 weeks holidays.. What a reliefs although I’m not looking forward to it… He just said I need to double check with Mario about lying on my front as the op with takes approx 3 hours if all goes well… And I need to lie on my front… Hope you ladies are all ok x x

Awh ano…. I asked all the things I needed to know.. No driving for 4 to 6 weeks 🙁 I asked what will happen if I don’t go ahead with the op.. He said it’s not advisable and although I’m managing the pain now I’m at risk of causing irreparable damage.. So this girl has gotta bite the bullet and get this back fixed..hopefully he’ll only need to remove two discs… How’s the boobies feeling now? Hope your well huni xx

Yeah it’s best to get it sorted and start feeling like you again. Yeah I’m not doing to bad, I’ve just got really bad bloating still and it’s driving me mad, I don’t know if it’s cuss I’m not exercising but I’m eating good. I love my boobs even more now after a few days of the strapping being off, they feel really weird without a bra on. Xx

Ah brilliant… Do they feel like there kinda hanging off? Lol it’s not a nice feeling… Bloating is awful, I hope it’s goes away soon for you..x
