hi girls, i was so excited about my op and was only scared of being to sleep nothing else was bothering me i had been told by alot of people that highgate is a nice hospital and nurses r lovely etc etc! sorry to b negative but wanted to get my expressions out, DONT STAY IN ROOM 211
i checked in all fine shown to my room and lady who showed me in and welcommed me i never see again at all !, got comfy in my room my nurse little ladt with glasses was so nice, she took my blood pressure and bits n bobs temp i told her how nervous i was bout caniula nnd if i could have a pre med , she said my surgery time only 30 mins so not longenough to warrant them amount of drugs she said id be fine,
sometime later anthestic lady came in reassuring me ill b ok after i told her my worries and that she b with me during surgety and looking after me, i felt comftable with her etc after surgeon came in and drew on me i waited hour then my nurse came in and said they r readt now nikki ! shaking in me skin i walked into theatre with nurse after emotionally sayin bye to my hubbi i laid on nice warm bed took gown off and anthestic ladt was preparing her juices, another nurse was in room who never said not a word to me not even hello not how u feeling nothing which is rude behaviour id expect from nhs , anyway my little nurse said bye good luck i asked her to stay n talk to me while they put me to sleep but she said i cant i need to b on the wards yet there was about 7 other nurses on the ward and as far as i was concerned i was one of her patients and baring inmind being put to sleep take seconds she couldnt spare that time I FIND BAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
any way i was put to sleep sittin there on me own, the only words anthestic lady said was NIGHT NIGHT !!!!!!!!!
woke up in recovery nurse in there seemed nice asking if i ok etc that was it went back into my room hubbi was waiting for me so nice to see friendly face, it was about 5pm had my dinenr and wanted to sleep for england hubbi left highgate and stayed in hotel nearby.
i was falling sleep by 9pm and woken every hour until 7am as my room was opposite the nurse station they were so LOUD LAUGHING TALKIN LOUDLY NOISY at 1am, 2am 4am absoloute joke
i paid more money ontop of op to have over night stay to have rest only not have rested one bit when i did manage to shut eye someone would bust in to get a cup or something it wasnt a relaxing pleasent stay for me at all !!!!!!!!!!!
i wish i had told them i wanted a different room as i couldnt sleep etc, please girls dont suffer in silence like me , u pay so much money if something u not happy with say so ! i wish i did i will take it up with my counseller when stitches r checked on friday althoug ive not heard from her since novemeber when had pre op “” overall my experience has been ok fair to good not excellent..
will keep u all updated on my aftercare now hopefully its better than pre op care
thank u for readin and remember avoid 211 at highgate location of room not a good one , lol apart from that hotel is so clean and of high standard enjoy girls it is all exciting xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
luckily there were no passers by at the time (very embarrassing) i just think standards of care are not that high been as we have paid good money for the care! any way… how are u feeling today? and are u happy with ur new boobies? xx
