first of all take a deap breath and breath! otherwise youll get yourself so worked up youll puke! well thats what i do,if this is something you obviously really want then go for it,or could you go on happy for a few years and save? if you cant get a loan have you thought of maybe asking family? xxx

    Menu

I just can’t wait, it’s getting me down :( i only work part time and I am worried that I wont be able to get a loan :( and nah my family can’t help me out, just don’t know what to do :S xxx

Why would you be in debt for 5 years chic? how much do nose jobs cost? Ive had £4600 over 2yrs at £239 a month and thats with FML and their huge apr at 24%, you could prob get a bank loan as low at 4 to 6% apr if you shop around. xxx

    Menu

Just looked at your pic, whats wrong with your nose?????? xxx

    Menu

Cuz i work part time and couldnt afford the huge repayments back to FML :( I might pop to the bank tomorrow and have a look, just don’t want to struggle with money over a long repayment time. I know the sensible thing to do would be to either save up or wait till I get a fulltime job but I just can’t wait anymore, and thanks hun but my nose is big, its hooked and looks awful from the side, even my mom said i’ve got a big nose, don’t speak to her anymore anyway :) just need money lol xxx

hun really dont be impulsive as once u get into debt especially with high repayments will add to your problems, have u tried to get finance through 1st medical loans, company mya work with, my friend did she works part time and they said she needed a guarantor (just incase u fall behind with repayments!)

Id suggest try that route first??

    x

121 me if u need anymore advice

    Menu

I was going to go through FML and alot of people have said its cheaper to get a credit card?

I can’t afford over £200 a month repayments 2bh. U know with a guarantor, they dont have to make the repayments, theyre there just incase u cant pay, thats right isnt it? x

    Menu

Yep thats right. How much have you been quoted? xxx

    Menu

i’m too scared to fone them lol so can u just phone to get a quote then per month? I only get just over £600 a month frm my part time job but i have bills that come out of it aswell. haven’t FML got HUGE apr’s??? xxx

    Menu

Yep, anywhere form 20 to 25% apr and its variable as well which not many people know so if the bank of England put their base rate up your repayments per month could go up….hence I did mine over two years to hurry the eff up and get rid of it!! lol

    xxx

    Menu

Oh god lol i think i’m gonna go to my bank and see how much theyre monthly repayments and APR’s are, just wish someone would say ‘i’ll pay for it’ lol or wish i could win the lotto lol xxx

I was desperate to get mine done, so i got a 5 year loan at around 100 pounds a month, which I thought was a manageable amount for what I own. Alternatively, you could test how important it is to you by setting yourself a target for saving a certain amount and if you really want it you will save it and know it’s not just you being impulsive. Then you can get a loan for the rest. How old are you and how long have you wanted rhinoplasty?x

    Menu

£100 would be okay, abit of a pinch but i would have to cut back on other luxuries which i wouldn’t mind doing cuz it would be the best present to get a new nose, i’m 21 and wanted a nose job for about 7 years. I was thinking of saving £2000 and then getting a loan for the rest, but that seems too hard to save :( and I can’t wait that long xxx

    Menu

what loan did u use to get a repayment of £100 a month?? FML?? xxx

    Menu

Why not do the piggy bank scheme hun pay in what you like and when ya finished book yaself in thats what im doing x

    Menu

How does that work? do u have to pay in a certain amount each month? or can u pay in whatever u wnt? are there any risks in doing the piggy bank scheme? xxx

you just need to set it up with your PC.. I was told using a standing order makes it more complicated, so i ring up once a month and send a large payment. I want a specific date and a day case so that will be accomadated this way.

So on payday, all my extra shifts and my weekly savings get lumped together. Mine is growing quite nicely and i will be fully paid for by Feb nxt year.

No loan payments to think of, no APR, all just pure hard graft savings.

I have to say i get lots of satisfaction every month when i send all my money as ive worked my socks off for it

Catherine, that’s sounds so satisfying! I bet you will appreciate your surgery even more as you have worked so hard for it! Stacey Louise, my loan is with Halifax but my surgery was slightly cheaper as I had closed Rhinoplasty- if you go for Mario he only does closed.xxx

Staceylouise, I’m in the same position. I’m already in a fair amount of debt and don’t really have any money spare but am so desperate to get my nose done. I’ve just applied for a five year loan (which would be about £115 a month). My theory is that I can probably cut back on other bits and pieces to scrape together that money every month and that it will be totally worth it for how much better I’ll feel about myself. I was also really scared about having the debt hanging over me for five years, but I checked with mine and I can pay it back early: so if I start earning some more money or pay off anything else than I could put more money in and finish it early, and if not, then I just need to keep finding £115 every month. It’s a really scary prospect to throw such a huge amount of money at something which is purely decorative, but my theory is that I have always been skint but it’s my nose which upsets me more than my lack of money! Good luck with everything! x

Omg i feel exactly the same Lizba, i hate my nose so much its unreal, i have heard good feedback about Dr Gonschoir and think i want him to do my surgery. I just want to get the nose i’ve always wanted but i know on my wage i would rly rly struggle with a large amount of money gone, but at the same time i know i want my new nose more than anything. xxx

I had a consultation with Dr Gonschoir last week and I was so impressed. The thing is that I really can’t guarantee what’s going to happen with money and I don’t want to wait twenty years for the right time when I can really afford it and then just regret not having it done earlier. It’s so so scary having to make such a huge financial commitment but I know for me that it will all be worth it in the long run. I’m just weighing it up that I would rather have a new nose than amazing holidays, flash cars, or amazing flatscreeen tv’s: people spend money on those things without even thinking about it, so I can justify something which will make me feel so much better about myself, even if it will leave things quite tight! x

    Menu

Yeah i feel exactly the same, but i might try and save around £2000 and then loan the rest. I know that would be the most sensible option but don’t know if i can wait that long xxx
