omg liquid just came out!?

doesnt hurt or anything but out from under my tape/dressing clear liquid just came out? and i literaly a centremetre under my tape i can see the start of my incision its not even got dressing on just the tape thats prob so dirty been on me for 5days omg and i cant even get to the nurse coz its like 2hours away

Contact the nurse anyway honey and ask for instructions,just be on the safe side,xxx

she sed to come down but i cant so she sed put new dressings on n they should of given me some spare (they didnt)

so gotta wait for someone to get in from work n buy me some, the tape is grubby from bein ther 5 days and its so wet

Dont panic lovely try not to touch anything,just get yourself relaxed In a chair with your pillows and wait until you can get your clean dressings,you are indoors where it nice and warm and clean,what time will someone be in to help you,can you phone them and ask them to pick the dressings up on their way in.xxx

Babe see if u can get to ur gp and see if they can clean and dress it , u poor thing your not having much luck.

Ask 4 emergency appt they shud give u evening appt. Otherwise go 2 a walk in centre they change dressings there x

my bfs gonna bring home mepore dressings.. should i get him to get saline packet thing that u use to clean wounds without touching the wound? then dry it with cool settin on hairdryer n put dressing over it?! dunno how im gonna do this myself, but wont let my mum or bf do it either! why me lol

Maybe ask your nurse about the saline stuff hun. See if you can get a docs appointment tomorrow for them to clean it. xx

yeh i will x ok wil ask her, jus feel like it needs to be cleaned before i put any dressing on top coz of how grubby the tape is thats touching it at the moment but dunno if the saline liquid would be ok!! xxx

I see what you’re saying but I don’t think they sell saline wash in normal shops, but I might be wrong? I think the important thing is that you get them covered again asap. xx

What about antiseptic wipes? Could you use them to clean the scars? Xx

Eww just took the tape off (left the dressings on) and I’m covered in blisters!! Haven’t seen my incisions but the area round it! No wonder it felt wet!!

So are your incision dressings still dry? If they are, then I don’t think you have anything to worry about. xx

Wet on the edge but not from the incision from big blisters popping yuk!! Xx

Well maybe just pull off the old dressings and put some new ones on, but don’t touch anything else. I’ve messaged u back too. xx

Chic you need to let some air get to them so they dry out, first I woulds spray on some Savlon wound wash and blow dry on a low setting. Blisters can go manky quite quick. Bless ya. What is the point in this stupid tape, I am so glad I never had it!! xxx

Thanku girls 4 the advice I really panicked!! My mum did it for me, cleaned my boobs and wher the tape was with anti-bac stuff, left the dressings but cut off the wet edge n stuck new ones on top (nurse said to do that), gonna go clinic tomorrow!
